Recommended bet: Arsenal to win and keep a clean sheet
Port Vale come into this League Cup game against Arsenal on the back of consecutive victories in the third tier after an injury-time penalty earned a 2-1 home win over Mansfield on Saturday.
The Gunners also left it late this weekend to take a point from Manchester City as Gabriel Martinelli came off the bench to race through and net a 93rd-minute equaliser which could prove crucial in the Premier League title race.

Team news
Vale have a few injury concerns with wing-backs Kyle John and Mitch Clark both sidelined, meaning Jordan Gabriel is likely to start.
Liam Gordon also picked up a knock in the win over Mansfield, though striker Mo Faal is back after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Arsenal will be without winger Noni Madueke who suffered a knee injury against Man City and has been ruled out for around two months.
Defender Piero Hincapie was not fit enough to make the matchday squad on Sunday, while Martin Odegaard is out with a shoulder problem.
However, the League Cup clash represents an opportunity for Bukayo Saka and Ben White to step up their comebacks from injury and both may start.
The stats
Port Vale and Arsenal last met in the FA Cup third round back in January 1998.
The Valiants earned a goalless draw at Highbury, while the replay ended 1-1 before the Gunners won a penalty shootout 4-3 on the way to lifting the trophy.
Vale have reached the third round of the League Cup for just the second time in the last 16 seasons.
Arsenal have scored at a rate of two goals per game in their opening six matches across all competitions.
Between 1893 and 1904, the two teams faced each other on 18 occasions in the Second Division, with Vale winning four of the encounters and three games ending in draws.

Prediction
Arsenal and manager Mikel Arteta have again been questioned over their cautious approach against title rivals following Sunday’s draw with the Citizens, but will no doubt go all-out attack at Vale Park on Wednesday.
Their hosts sit just above the League One drop zone and so the Gunners will be well backed to progress.
There is no doubt the home fans will make it a loud and hostile atmosphere for one of Vale’s biggest matches for several seasons, but Arsenal should have more than enough to win on the night.
Arteta is expected to make a number of changes to his side with White and Saka likely to feature as they step up their return to full fitness following spells on the sidelines.
If that is not daunting enough for Vale supporters, Victor Gyokeres is expected to lead the line, youngsters Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are likely to start and 15-year-old Max Dowman could also feature, having already appeared twice in the Premier League this season.
Having drawn a blank in four matches already this season, grabbing a goal would give the Vale faithful something to cheer, but even that might be beyond them.
