Hoffenheim vs St. Pauli – 14:30 pm (Bundesliga)

Hoffenheim are aiming to finish as the best of the rest behind Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga this season, and the highfliers’ pursuit of third spot has been powered by their impressive goal-scoring prowess under adventurous head coach, Christian Ilzer.

A whopping 82% of Hoffenheim’s total home games in the Bundesliga have produced 3+ goals this term, in fact, only Bayern Munich have scored more home goals than Hoffenheim so far. Saturday’s visitors St. Pauli, shipped at least three goals in three of their last four domestic away games, and they could be pulled apart again by this Hoffenheim outfit.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Southampton – 15:00 pm (Championship)

Sheffield Wednesday suffered the earliest relegation in English football history when they lost the Steel City Derby against Sheffield United last week, and the Owls, who’ve lost 11 straight Championship fixtures, could be picked apart by a rampant-looking Southampton.

The Saints cut loose in midweek with a 5-0 win over QPR and they scored another four times in their last away assignment at Leicester (4-3). Indeed, 71% of Southampton’s away fixtures in the Championship this term have seen over 2.5 goals overall, and more action is anticipated when Tonda Eckert’s side visits Hillsborough.

Barcelona vs Villarreal – 15:15 pm (La Liga)

Barcelona have been La Liga’s most prolific team this season by quite away and the table toppers can showcase their attacking talents again when they host Villarreal. 92% of Barca’s home games in Spain’s top tier have produced over 2.5 goals, with a further 42% of the same matches delivering over 3.5 goals.

Fixtures between Barcelona and Villarreal have also routinely been thrilling in recent campaigns, with the clubs’ last five encounters averaging a searing 5.60 goals per game. Barca have notched 3+ goals in seven of their last eight home matches in La Liga, and they can produce similar against Villarreal.

Heracles vs PSV – 17:45 pm (Eredivisie)

A full 14 points clear and virtually certain to reclaim their Eredivisie crown, PSV have been too hot to handle in the Dutch top tier this season. They’ve already scored 70 times in just 24 league fixtures and they can top up their already superb tally with another glut when they travel to take on bottom club Heracles on Saturday evening.

Heracles actually gave a decent account of themselves when losing 4-3 in December’s reverse fixture in Eindhoven. They have shipped four goals against Feyenoord (2nd) and NEC (3rd) since then however, and they conceded another four in their last assignment against Go Ahead Eagles. 83% of PSV’s and 75% of Heracles’ league games have beaten a target over 2.5 goals overall this season, so expect more of the same here.

Inter Milan vs Genoa – 19:45 pm (Serie A)

Burned by their shock Champions League elimination at the hands of Bodo/Glimt, Inter will be determined to restore some pride when they host Genoa on Saturday, though the runaway Serie A leaders will have to work hard to fill their boots against their improving visitors.

Inter have been cutting through teams with ease domestically this season, especially at San Siro, where 77% of their league fixtures have seen over 2.5 goals and they might have to be just as sharp to outgun Genoa. The visiting Grifone have scored at least twice in five of their last seven matches, and they should have the confidence to trade blows with Inter.

Le Havre vs PSG – 20:05 (Ligue 1)

PSG continue to battle for silverware on multiple fronts, though they haven’t exactly been rock solid defensively since the turn of the year, keeping only five clean sheets in 12 games in all competitions since January 1st. Luis Enrique’s classy outfit have more than enough firepower to compensate most of the time, however, and that tends to produce plenty of high-scoring contests.

100% of PSG’s last six matches have rewarded over 2.5 goal bettors, as have eight of their last nine tussles in Ligue 1. If that wasn’t enough, their last four encounters with Le Havre have averaged 4.25 goals per 90 minutes, so expect the goals to flow at the Stade Océane again on Saturday.
