League One
Bradford City vs Plymouth Argyle (Tuesday, 7:45 pm)
Bradford came within a whisker of collecting three points at Barnsley on Saturday before the Tykes equalised in the 95th minute. The Bantams (4th) are still well-positioned for a playoff berth, though red-hot Plymouth can provide a thorough test of City’s aspirations. Argyle excelled in their win at AFC Wimbledon at the weekend, manufacturing 22 shots in a fine 3-1 triumph. They’ve hit three goals in three of their last four away matches and they could shock Bradford here.
Score prediction: Bradford City 2-3 Plymouth Argyle
Doncaster Rovers vs Lincoln City (Tuesday, 7:45 pm)
A 91st-minute strike from Rob Street earned Lincoln a late draw at Stevenage on Saturday and the Imps need just one more point to clinch the League One title. City boss Michael Skubala won the L2 Manager of the Season award this week and the 43-year-old can oversee another positive Lincoln result at the Eco-Power Stadium on Tuesday. Doncaster have only lost two of their last nine games however, so Lincoln might have to kick off their celebrations after another draw.
Score prediction: Doncaster Rovers 2-2 Lincoln City
Rotherham United vs Luton Town (Tuesday, 7:45 pm)
17-year-old Harry Gray, who is on loan from Leeds, opened the scoring in a surprise 2-0 win for relegated Rotherham at Leyton Orient on Saturday, though a repeat result against Luton should be harder to secure. The Hatters picked up a useful point at Mansfield (2-2) last time out and Town have gone eight games in League Two without defeat overall. Playoff-chasing Luton need a win to stay in the hunt for a top-six finish, and that extra motivation could be key at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.
Score prediction: Rotherham United 1-2 Luton Town
Stevenage Borough vs Barnsley (Tuesday, 7:45 pm)
Stevenage came close to beating champions-elect Lincoln on Saturday before conceding a leveller in added time, though that performance highlighted just how strong Borough can be on home soil. Stevenage have lost only one of their last 13 assignments at the Lamex Stadium in League Two and have won seven times in their last nine attempts at that venue. Alex Revell’s side can lean on home advantage to good effect again on Tuesday.
Score prediction: Stevenage Borough 2-1 Barnsley
Stockport County vs Mansfield Town (Tuesday, 7:45 pm)
Stockport still have work to do to cement a playoff place after they were denied three points by a stunning equaliser by Exeter keeper Jack Bycroft on Saturday. County had 11 shots on target in that 3-3 draw and probably did enough to earn a win, though they can rebound against Mansfield. Visiting Town have failed to win seven of their last eight away games, while Stockport have won a superb eight of their last nine matches on their own patch.
Score prediction: Stockport County 2-1 Mansfield Town
Cardiff vs Port Vale (Wednesday, 7:45 pm)
With Captain Omari Kellyman and Ryan Wintle central, Cardiff roared to a 3-1 win at Reading on Saturday to secure promotion to the Championship, and with the pressure lifted, the Bluebirds can play with freedom against Port Vale. The visitors are on the brink of relegation following their 0-0 draw with Wigan on Sunday and they are unlikely to earn any kind of reprieve in Wales. Expect Cardiff to send the Valiants down.
Score prediction: Cardiff 2-0 Port Vale
League Two
Cambridge United vs Grimsby (Tuesday, 7:45 pm)
Cambridge will be looking to their upcoming back-to-back home games against Grimsby and Barrow to seal automatic promotion, starting with Tuesday’s test against the Mariners. Cambridge have been a model of consistency at the Cledara Abbey Stadium this term, losing just once in 21 outings there since the start of the campaign. Expect Neil Harris’s side to be in command at home again here.
Score prediction: Cambridge United 2-1 Grimsby
Cheltenham vs Tranmere Rovers (Tuesday, 7:45 pm)
Cheltenham made it three wins from three with a hard-fought victory over Newport (1-0) on Saturday and Town can maintain their late-season surge at Tranmere’s expense in midweek. Visiting Rovers remain just a point above the bottom two after their 2-1 reverse at home to Bristol Rovers at the weekend and they’ve now played 12 games in the division without success. Cheltenham are backed to push Tranmere closer to the relegation zone in this one.
Score prediction: Cheltenham vs Tranmere Rovers
Salford vs Bromley (Thursday, 8:00 pm)
It hasn’t been pretty over the last few weeks, but Bromley’s 0-0 draw with Cambridge last week finally got them over the line in the race for automatic promotion. The table toppers’ next target is the title, though they can’t be backed with any confidence to triumph at Salford, having dropped points in four of their last five games. City were buoyed by a win at in-form local rivals Oldham (2-1) on Saturday and they could follow up with something similar here.
Score prediction: Salford 2-1 Bromley
