RB Leipzig feature in our predictions for Bundesliga Week 26.
  • Bayern Munich will be hunting down their 22nd Bundesliga victory of the campaign when they travel to take on Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday afternoon.

  • Dieter Hecking takes charge of Wolfsburg for the first time since returning to the club when Die Wolfe visit highflying Hoffenheim.

  • Fourth meets fifth on Sunday evening, when Stuttgart and RB Leipzig meet in a crucial fixture in the race for a top-four finish.

Game week 26 of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season begins on Friday, 13th at Borussia-Park, where an out-of-sorts Gladbach take on relegation rivals St. Pauli.

Five more fixtures from Germany follow on Saturday, with Bayer Leverkusen’s clash with Bayern Munich the showpiece showdown there.

On Sunday, there are three matches to choose from, with Werder Bremen facing Mainz, Hamburg taking on FC Koln and Stuttgart hosting RB Leipzig in the weekend’s final entry.

We’ve got free predictions and Bundesliga tips for all nine contests from week 26 of the German campaign, starting with Friday’s collision between Gladbach and St. Pauli.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs St. Pauli (Friday, 7:30 pm)

As expected, Borussia Monchengladbach were outclassed by Bayern Munich in last Friday’s televised Bundesliga fixture, though Die Fohlen did show spirit in Bavaria, especially following Rocco Reitz’s 55th-minute red card. Still, Gladbach have now won only once in their last nine attempts in the division.

An improving St. Pauli meanwhile, dug in for a point at home to Eintracht Frankfurt (0-0) last time out, though they might have claimed all three and were unfortunate to see two efforts come back off the woodwork. Alexander Blessin’s side have been beaten just once in five assignments now and kept clean sheets in each of their last two games. The visitors can avoid defeat again here.

Score prediction: Borussia Monchengladbach 1-1 St. Pauli

Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich (Saturday, 2:30 pm)

Both Bayer Leverkusen (vs Arsenal) and Bayern Munich (vs Atalanta) were involved in the Champions League‘s Round of 16 in midweek, so the outcome of Saturday’s clash between the clubs might depend on how the sides cope with the demands of competing on two fronts.

Vincent Kompany’s deeper Bayern squad looks better equipped to perform. The champions were too good for Leverkusen in November (3-0) and they can push for a sixth straight win in the Bundesliga at Bayer’s expense in Saturday’s rematch. Die Roten hit at least three goals in each of their last five outings in the league, so expect the runaway leaders to outgun another domestic opponent.

Score prediction: Bayer Leverkusen 1-3 Bayern Munich

Borussia Dortmund vs FC Augsburg (Saturday, 2:30 pm)

Borussia Dortmund rebounded from their loss in Der Klassiker to beat ten-man FC Koln (2-1) last week, though they had more than a couple of scares at the RheinEnergieSTADION. Back on home soil on Saturday, where BVB have won nine times in 12 attempts in the Bundesliga since August, another tricky test awaits against Augsburg.

FC Augsburg’s three-game winning streak was halted by Leipzig last weekend, though the competitive Fuggerstädter were on course for a point there before conceding an injury-time decider. Augsburg won last season’s corresponding fixture at Dortmund (1-0), while each of the clubs’ last three encounters have been decided by a single goal margin. Expect similar here.

Score prediction: Borussia Dortmund 2-1 FC Augsburg

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Heidenheim (Saturday, 2:30 pm)

Despite posting a possession figure of 72.5%, Eintracht Frankfurt found the going tough at St. Pauli last weekend and had to be content with a 0-0 draw. New Head Coach Albert Riera now has a modest 40%-win rate with Die Adler since taking the reins last month, though he can improve that percentage with a victory over Heidenheim.

Rock-bottom Heidenheim found free-scoring Hoffenheim (2-4) too hot to handle last week. That was their 17th loss of the campaign and extended their winless run to 12 matches. The relegation favourites have also lost ten out of 12 away fixtures in Germany’s top tier this term, and they are easy to oppose again on Saturday.

Score prediction: Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 Heidenheim

Hoffenheim vs Wolfsburg (Saturday, 2:30 pm)

Wolfsburg parted ways with Head Coach Daniel Bauer early this week and promptly replaced him with the experienced Dieter Hecking, who enjoyed a positive spell with the club between 2012 and 2016, when he delivered the DFB Pokal. However, Hecking might have to park any ideas of a winning start on Saturday.

Hoffenheim put four goals past Heidenheim last weekend, with Alexander Pass central, to restore order following their surprise loss to St. Pauli before that. Firmly in the running for Champions League qualification, Hoffenheim have won eight of their last nine league matches at the PreZero Arena and they could be too good for Die Wolfe.

Score prediction: Hoffenheim 3-1 Wolfsburg

Hamburg vs FC Koln (Saturday, 5:30 pm)

In a contest that featured three penalty kicks, Hamburg edged out Wolfsburg (2-1) in their last outing, ending a run of three games without success and inching up into tenth position. Next up, Head Coach Merlin Polzin will be aiming to work his tactical magic against poor travellers FC Koln.

The visitors have failed to win ten of their 12 Bundesliga away fixtures since the start of the campaign, with their last victory on the road coming all the way back in the first week of October (1-0 vs Hoffenheim). Already without the injured Joel Schmied, Jan Thielmann and Sebastian Sebulonsen, Koln lost another defender when Jahmai Simpson-Pusey was sent off against Dortmund last week, so they should struggle here.

Score prediction: Hamburg 2-1 FC Koln

Werder Bremen vs Mainz (Sunday, 2:30 pm)

Are Werder finally starting to build momentum under February appointment Daniel Thioune? Aided by an early red card for their hosts, they roared to a 4-1 win at Union Berlin last weekend, which followed a 2-0 triumph over Heidenheim the week before. However, they were 1-0 down when it was 11 versus 11 in the capital.

Beating Mainz could be a trickier proposition. Die Nullfünfer nabbed a late equaliser to draw with Stuttgart (2-2) in their last test and held Bayer Leverkusen (1-1) before that. Indeed, Mainz’s only loss in their last seven Bundesliga tussles came at Dortmund, and they can leave the Weserstadion with something on Sunday.

Score prediction: Werder Bremen vs Mainz

Freiburg vs Union Berlin (Sunday, 4:30 pm)

Freiburg had to settle for a point following a pulsating skirmish with Bayer Leverkusen (3-3) seven days ago, though they deserved more, having manufactured 21 attempts against Die Werkself, nine of which hit the target. Still, Freiburg’s performance highlighted their prowess at the Europa-Park Stadion, where they are now unbeaten in 16 successive matches in all competitions.

Union Berlin meanwhile, were rattled at home by Werder Bremen (4-1) last weekend, though Andras Schafer’s 19th-minute dismissal seemed to be the turning point there. The Iron Ones are unbeaten in six previous meetings with Freiburg, though the tables are likely to turn on Sunday. Union have lost three away matches on the spin and a fourth defeat could follow in Freiburg.

Score prediction: Freiburg 3-1 Union Berlin

VfB Stuttgart vs RB Leipzig (Sunday, 6:30 pm)

Stuttgart came within a whisker of a win at Mainz last weekend before they were pegged back by a 91st-minute leveller (2-2). The top-four chasers are favourites to bounce back in Sunday’s evening kick-off, though Thursday’s tough test against Porto in the Europa League was a real energy sapper.

RB Leipzig, who have enjoyed a week between games, could take advantage of any lethargy in their host’s ranks. Inspired by the increasingly influential Yan Diomande, Die Roten Bullen came from behind to beat Augsburg (2-1) when last seen, while they have also taken ten out of 12 points on the road since the end of the winter break.

Score prediction: VfB Stuttgart 2-2 RB Leipzig
