  • Salford have won six of their last seven games in League Two ahead of their trip to play Crewe on Easter Monday.

  • An improving Fleetwood will be determined to harness home advantage when they take on in-form Barnet.

  • Tranmere have lost eight of their last nine League Two fixtures ahead of their encounter with Colchester at Prenton Park.

Easter means EFL football by the bucketful and there is another full programme of League Two fixtures in the works this week, just days after a full round of matches from the same division concluded on Good Friday.

There are 11 games from England’s fourth tier scheduled for Monday, 6th April, with one more contest following a day later on Tuesday, 7th, between leaders Bromley and Shrewsbury Town.

Ahead of the action, we’ve got free predictions for all 12 League Two fixtures from the busy Easter period below.

Barrow vs Chesterfield (Monday, 3:00 pm)

Barrow (23rd) rode their luck at times, but managed to hold MK Dons (2nd) to a draw on Good Friday (0-0), earning a useful point in their fight for survival. Chesterfield, who have won three of their last four games, should pose different questions, however. The solid-looking Spireites kept clean sheets in each of their last two matches and a third here could earn them three points.

Score prediction: Barrow 0-1 Chesterfield

Cheltenham vs Cambridge United (Monday, 3:00 pm)

Cheltenham were second best in their 1-0 loss to Chesterfield on Friday and might have suffered a heavier defeat had their hosts not struck the woodwork three times. Automatic promotion hopefuls Cambridge, who have lost just once in 11 League Two fixtures, have conceded just twice in their last five matches combined, and United can lean on their solid defensive foundations for success again here.

Score prediction: Cheltenham 0-1 Cambridge United

Crawley vs Grimsby (Monday, 3:00 pm)

Crawley’s 2-0 win at Newport on Friday was their second victory in as many games under new manager Colin Kazım-Richards, and with their performances strengthening, the Red Devils can approach their next task with renewed confidence. Grimsby, who lost to bottom club Harrogate (1-3) when last seen, look vulnerable and a reinvigorated Crawley can take full advantage.

Score prediction: Crawley 2-1 Grimsby

Crewe vs Salford (Monday, 3:00 pm)

Crewe’s two-game winning burst was ended by Accrington (0-2) last time out and they face similar disappointment when they host a Salford side that’s building momentum. The visitors enjoyed back-to-back wins over MK Dons (2nd) and Notts County (4th) in their last two fixtures, and with the bit between their teeth, Salford can add steam to their automatic promotion push with another victory over Crewe.

Score prediction: Crewe 1-2 Salford

Fleetwood vs Barnet (Monday, 3:00 pm)

Fleetwood were unlucky to lose at Bristol Rovers (0-1) on Friday having dominated the game for possession and shots, while they also fluffed a chance from the penalty spot. Still, Town are visibly improving under Matt Lawlor and they should be able to trouble Barnet. The visitors nearly beat leaders Bromley in their last contest, but conceded an equaliser deep into added time (90+10). Barnet remain undefeated in four however, and that streak is unlikely to end here.

Score prediction: Fleetwood 1-1 Barnet

Gillingham vs Accrington (Monday, 3:00 pm)

Gillingham were well worth their share of the spoils at Walsall (2-2) on Friday following a promising display, and the Gills will look to build on that showing when they host Accrington Stanley. The Accies delivered their most rounded performance in a while in their 2-0 win over Crewe three days ago and the manner of their victory was more emphatic than the scoreline suggests. Buoyed by that showing, Stanley can secure at least a point on Monday.

Score prediction: Gillingham 1-1 Accrington

Harrogate vs Bristol Rovers (Monday, 3:00 pm)

Harrogate’s shock 3-1 win at Grimsby on Friday sparked fresh survival hopes, however, they registered just six attempts to their host’s 19 in that unusual triumph, and they might not be so fortunate against Bristol Rovers. The Pirates are one of the division’s form sides, and have won six of their last seven assignments. A confident Rovers can chase down maximum points again in this one.

Score prediction: Harrogate 0-2 Bristol Rovers

Notts County vs Newport (Monday, 3:00 pm)

Notts County’s automatic promotion chances were knocked by a 2-1 loss to Salford on Friday, however, the Magpies have a chance to rebound straight away when they host Newport. County battered Tranmere 5-0 when they last hosted one of the division’s bottom feeders and they could be similarly dominant against third-from-bottom Newport on Monday.

Score prediction: Notts County 3-0 Newport

Oldham vs MK Dons (Monday, 3:00 pm)

Winless in their last three attempts now, MK Dons missed a big chance to solidify their title credentials when they drew 0-0 with second-last Bromley on Friday and a trip to Oldham looks like another banana skin. Athletic have won nine of their last 11 fixtures in League Two and they played with a swagger in their recent 3-1 victory at Colchester. Micky Mellon’s red-hot Oldham could take a big scalp here.

Score prediction: Oldham 2-1 MK Dons

Swindon vs Walsall (Monday, 3:00 pm)

Playoff contenders Swindon remain tough to beat, however, frustratingly, the draws are stacking up and four of their last seven games, including Friday’s encounter with Cambridge (1-1), have finished level. Walsall, who have drawn three of their last four, could be the latest side to take points off the Robins. The Saddlers beat Swindon (2-1) in August and they have the tools to frustrate them again in Monday’s rematch.

Score prediction: Swindon 1-1 Walsall

Tranmere vs Colchester (Monday, 3:00 pm)

Tranmere’s rapid slide towards relegation continues to gather speed and Rovers’ 1-0 defeat to Shrewsbury on Friday was their eighth defeat in nine League Two fixtures. Colchester are winless in five, though a date with an ailing Tranmere could be a chance to snap that poor run. Tranmere have lost eight home games since Christmas and it makes sense to oppose them again here.

Score prediction: Tranmere 0-1 Colchester

Bromley vs Shrewsbury (Tuesday, 8:00 pm)

Leaders Bromley needed a 100th- minute goal from sub George Evans to rescue a point at Barnet (2-2) on Friday, though that last-gasp intervention should raise spirits ahead of Monday’s clash with Shrewsbury. Bromley have yet to lose at home in League Two this term and despite their recent wobbles, the title favourites should have enough quality to squeeze a win out of their encounter with the Shrews.

Score prediction: Bromley 1-0- Shrewsbury
