Lincoln, who secured promotion on Monday, continue their pursuit of the League One title when they host Leyton Orient on Saturday.
Exeter have lost four successive away games ahead of their trip to play neighbours Plymouth in the Devon Derby.
Mansfield put their eight-match unbeaten streak on the line when they visit an improving Wigan at the Brick Community Stadium.
The 2025/26 League One campaign continues at pace on Saturday, 11th April, with 10 games from England’s third tier on the schedule before close of business.
The day’s slate opens with three lunchtime kick-offs at 12:30 pm, including Cardiff vs Bolton, while another seven matches follow at 3:00 pm, with Rotherham’s South Yorkshire Derby clash with Barnsley among the highlights there.
As always, we’ve dissected form and injury news to deliver predictions for every League One fixture on Saturday’s card and you can read our forecasts for the day’s action below.
Cardiff City vs Bolton Wanderers (Saturday, 12:30 pm)
A wasteful Cardiff have won only two of their last eight games and they missed more chances (29 shots) in their frustrating 1-1 draw at Peterborough on Easter Monday. Playoff chasing Bolton meanwhile, could only draw 2-2 with ten-man Stockport earlier this week, though Wanderers have lost only one of their last 16 matches in League One overall and they can hold the faltering Bluebirds.
Score prediction: Cardiff City 1-1 Bolton Wanderers
Lincoln City vs Leyton Orient (Saturday, 12:30 pm)
Lincoln’s 2-1 win at Reading on Monday clinched promotion for the Imps, though they now have their sights set on securing the title and they can push for victory again here. Leyton Orient conceded a 105th-minute decider in their loss to Huddersfield last time out and flattened by that late heartbreak, they look ill-equipped to trouble the champions elect.
Score prediction: Lincoln City 2-0 Leyton Orient
Plymouth Argyle vs Exeter City (Saturday, 12:30 pm)
Plymouth and Exeter head into Saturday’s Devon Derby on the back of 3-0 Easter Monday wins over Barnsley and Doncaster respectively, though Argyle still look better positioned to claim points and bragging rights. Visiting City have lost four away matches on the spin, while Plymouth have triumphed in four of their last five tests on home soil, scoring 12 times along the way.
Score prediction: Plymouth Argyle 3-1 Exeter City
Blackpool vs Peterborough United (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Blackpool remain just outside the bottom four following Monday’s 1-0 loss at Stevenage, though they have an impressive recent record at Bloomfield Road, where they have won four and drawn one of their last five league fixtures. Peterborough meanwhile, are winless in their last six attempts on their travels, losing four times along the way, so it makes sense to oppose them again here.
Score prediction: Blackpool 1-0 Peterborough United
Bradford City vs Stevenage Borough (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Goals from Bobby Pointon and Aden Baldwin allowed Bradford to enjoy a 2-1 comeback win at Wycombe last time out to keep their Playoff pursuit on track. Stevenage dug out a narrow victory at home to Blackpool (1-0) on Monday, though they have lost seven of their last nine away fixtures in League One. Only Lincoln (52 points) have a better home record than Bradford (48) this term, so back the Bantams to triumph again.
Score prediction: Bradford City 2-0 Stevenage Borough
Burton Albion vs AFC Wimbledon (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Burton dug in for another vital point in the race for survival at Mansfield (0-0) on Monday and dogged Albion have now lost only one of their last four fixtures in the division. An improving Burton (19th) could leapfrog Wimbledon (16th) with a win over their visitors on Saturday. The Dons have lost five and drawn one of their last six games and Burton could take advantage of their slipping form.
Score prediction: Burton Albion 1-0 AFC Wimbledon
Doncaster Rovers vs Reading (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Doncaster’s 3-0 reverse against Exeter on Monday was a rotten result, with their conquerors failing to win 15 straight games before that. Rovers, who have lost only once in four matches at home, will be itching to muster a response, however, Saturday’s opponents Reading picked up at least a point in five of their last seven away skirmishes in League One and they can hold Doncaster here.
Score prediction: Doncaster Rovers 1-1 Reading
Huddersfield Town vs Wycombe Wanderers (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Huddersfield are still firmly in the hunt for a place in the Playoffs and their dramatic late win at Leyton Orient, secured with a goal from Ryan Ledson 15 minutes in added time kept them right in the mix. Wycombe are just two points behind the Terriers, though they have lost three of their last four games and have been losing momentum. Huddersfield are in better form and could secure a crucial victory in this one.
Score prediction: Huddersfield Town 2-1 Wycombe Wanderers
Rotherham United vs Barnsley (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Rotherham suffered a damaging defeat to relegation rivals Port Vale on Tuesday and they will need to dust themselves down quickly to match Barnsley in Saturday’s South Yorkshire Derby. Barnsley weren’t at the races against Plymouth (0-3) on Monday, though they are unbeaten in three away trips, with veteran striker David McGoldrick scoring five times across those contests. In contrast, Rotherham have failed to score completely in six of their last seven matches, so a sharper Barnsley could outscore the Millers at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.
Score prediction: Rotherham United 0-1 Barnsley
Wigan Athletic vs Mansfield Town (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Wigan took a giant leap towards League One survival on Monday when they put in a commanding shift to beat second-from-bottom Northampton (3-1) at Sixfields Stadium. Back at the Brick Community Stadium, where Wigan have kept three successive clean sheets, another positive result could be in the offing against Mansfield. The visitors are unbeaten in eight, though five of those were stalemates, and another draw might suit both teams on Saturday.
Score prediction: Wigan Athletic 1-1 Mansfield Town
