With less than two weeks to go till the NFL season kicks off its time to look at who we think will go all the way and lift the Lombardi trophy. Here we look at some of the main contenders and the best bets for who will ultimately make and win the Super Bowl.

AFC Section

Last year saw the New England Patriots make it to the Super Bowl but with a tougher schedule this year it might be tough for them to do it again. Their division mates, the Buffalo Bills are favourites to win the AFC Championship, but they always seem to fall short.

The Houston Texans are most likely to win the AFC South and still have a great defence but there are big question marks over quarterback CJ Stroud. The AFC North have two good chances with the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals.

The Ravens have a new head coach who should improve their defence, but a lot is dependant on veteran running back Derrick Henry staying fit. The Bengals are another team who always pick up significant injuries, but they have improved their defence this season which they needed to do.

Finally, there is the AFC West who have three big teams likely to go far. The Kansas City Chiefs missed out on the playoffs last season, but star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is back and fully fit. The LA Chargers could go far again but every time they get in the playoffs, they seem to beat themselves.

The standout candidate is the Denver Broncos. They only lost the AFC Championship game last season due to quarterback Bo Nix getting injured. They still have a great defence and now have a stronger offence thanks to the arrival of Jaylen Waddle.

Top Tip: Denver Broncos to win the AFC Championship @ 10/1

NFC Section

The Seattle Seahawks won the NFC Championship last season and then went on to win the Super Bowl. They should do well again this year, but they are weaker with the departure of Super Bowl MVP running back, Ken Walker.

They have also got the favourites to win the Super Bowl this year in their division, the LA Rams. The Rams look like a powerhouse this season after improving their defence by adding Myles Garrett, Trent McDuffie and Aaron Donald.

The San Francisco 49ers are also in the NFC West, but they always seem to get big injuries and have an ageing roster. There are four teams in the NFC South that will fight it out to get into the playoffs but none of them are good enough to win the NFC Championship.

The NFC North looks to be an exciting division again this season with the Detroit Lions looking strong after a poor season last year. They should have a chance of getting to the Super Bowl, but they have stiff competition from the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.

The Packers are without star edge rusher Micah Parsons for the start of the campaign and Josh Jacobs can’t play due to off fields issues. The Bears look strong offensively but still have a weaker defence that will ultimately cost them.

Finally, we have the NFC East and a Philadelphia Eagles team that are looking to win the division for the third year in a row. They still look a strong team but have got some competition this season with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.

The Cowboys have improved their defence considerably during the off season and that should give them a chance. The Giants have also improved but it feels like it’s a year or two to early.

Top Tip: LA Rams to with the NFC Championship @ 29/10
