Top Tip – AJ Brown to score a Touchdown anytime
AJ Brown has moved on from the Philadelphia Eagles after four years and a Super Bowl ring. He now finds himself a New England Patriot and with his old Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel.
Brown has been one of the best wide receivers in the league over his seven-year NFL career. Only once has he had under 1,000 yards and only once has he scored less than seven touchdowns in a season.
It is his first game for a new team and so it is never a certainty that he will score but quality usually tells, and Brown has plenty of that. Expect him to get his Patriots career off to a good start and get a touchdown here.

Rhamondre Stevenson 40+ rushing yards including overtime
Rhamondre Stevenson had a good end to the season last year hitting over 40+ rushing yards in the last five games of the season. He also had a solid playoff run as well and should get plenty of the ball in this game.
It was thought that once TreVeyon Henderson was drafted in 2025 that Stevenson would take a back seat. However, that has not been the case, and Stevenson has continued to excel for the Patriots.
Henderson has had an injury this offseason and is likely to be limited in this game. We should see Stevenson get the ball often and 40 yards is very plausible.

Over 38.5 Total Points including overtime
Normally at the start of the season, you find offences have the edge over defences as it takes time to work out what the offences systems are. In the last six years we have seen 41 points, or more been scored on opening night.
Also, the last time this matchup saw under 38 points was back in 1993. It feels unlikely that this will be a defensive matchup and so expect enough points to get this one over 38 points.

Seattle Seahawks -2.5 point spread including overtime
The Seahawks are reigning Super Bowl champions for a reason and although they look a bit weaker than last season, they are still a quality team. They have lost Super Bowl MVP Ken Walker but have replaced him with rookie Jadarian Price.
Their defence still looks good, and Sam Darnold is a reliable quarterback. They take on a Patriots team that have had a lot of change over the last couple of years and that might just be enough to slow them down in this game.
Expect the Seahawks to just have enough in their home stadium to get the job done by a field goal or more.
