The Indianapolis Colts and the Atlanta Falcons will be playing at 9:30 a.m. EDT as they go head-to-head in Berlin, Germany in the second-to-last international game of the 2025-26 regular season. Indy is hoping to bounce back from just its second loss of the campaign, while the Falcons are trying to snap a three-game losing streak.

Turnovers were the main reason why the Colts lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week Nine, 27-20. Indy gave the ball away six times after recording just four turnovers in their first eight games of the season.

“Obviously, [it’s] hard to win when you turn it over like we did,” said Indianapolis head coach Shane Steichen during the Week Nine postgame press conference. “Credit to the Steelers and their defense and what they did. Obviously, I could have been better for our guys today moving the football up and down the field… Obviously, I've got to look at it tomorrow, get it cleaned up, get ready to go for Atlanta.”

Indy helped fans quickly forget about the tough loss to the Steelers by making a blockbuster move at the trade deadline. They sent wide receiver Adonai Mitchell and two first-round draft picks to the New York Jets in exchange for two-time All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner, who should be a welcome addition to the Colts' 26th-ranked pass defense (244.8 yards allowed per game).

“It was less about the Jets wanting to trade me and more about the coach (Shane Steichen) wanting me to be here. So, that's truly, truly a blessing,” Gardner told reporters on November 6th. “It's a great group of guys already here, and that's what makes it even more special. Like dominant offense, dominant defense. I'm just grateful to be a part of something special that they were already building here. I look to just add a lot on and off the field here.”

Though this might be the first international game for some members of the Colts, that is not the case for quarterback Daniel Jones, who is having a career year as the league leader in passing (2,404 yards). This will be Jones' third international regular-season start and his second time playing in Germany.

“I've gotten to play overseas a couple times, and I think just the energy in the game, and the fans, you can feel the excitement from them,” Jones said during an interview on Wednesday. "It's a different atmosphere from what you play in here in games in the U.S. We're looking forward to that and getting over there for that.”

As is often the case when facing Atlanta, limiting their offensive playmakers will be key for the Colts to return to the win column.

“Looking at the Falcons, [they’re] really talented on both sides of the football,” Shane Steichen said on November 5th. “Offensively, Bijan Robinson's one of the best in the league doing it at the running back position. Drake London's a hell of a receiver. Pitts [is] a hell of a tight end. So, we’ve just got to be ready for those guys.”

The ineffectiveness of the rushing attack is one of the biggest reasons why the Falcons are currently in the middle of a three-game losing streak. Though they're good for 116.8 rushing yards per game this season, they have only averaged 59.3 yards on the ground in their last three matchups.

“We’ve got to get that going,” Atlanta head coach Raheem Morris told reporters in Germany on Friday. “Like it's the keys to our life. It's the keys to how we want to win. It’s what we want to be able to go and do out there… Hopefully, we can get our stuff going so we can get everything going within our framework of our offense.”

Falcons running back Bijan Robinson knows that he has struggled during this recent stretch. Though he ranks eighth in rushing yards per game this season (74.4), he has only run for 111 yards during Atlanta's losing streak.

“Yeah, man. I mean, we just got to go in there with the mentality. That's what we do. Our identity is running the football, and everything else opens up and comes with that,” Robinson said on Friday. “So, for us, we know, in order to win and to dominate, that has to be the main focus for the game.”

It will also take a complete-game effort to beat this explosive Colts squad. Indy ranks in the top ten in offensive scoring (first) and defensive scoring (seventh).

“We’ve got to go out there and be the best version of ourselves on all sides of the ball, on all three phases,” Morris said. “We’ve got to go out there and be able to reestablish what we want to do in the kicking game. We’ve got to go out there and be able to reestablish the run on our offense, getting our offense going, get out there and find a way to get some completions, [and] score touchdowns. And on defense, being able to stop them, particularly in the red zone, where we’ve got to improve that. We'll figure out how to do those things this week and get our win.”

Prediction for Atlanta Falcons vs. Indianapolis Colts (-6.5)

The Colts have a stellar run defense, but that's due in large part to the fact that they score so many points that teams often have to abandon the run to keep pace with Indy. I think the Falcons will make it their mission to lean heavily on the ground game, which will limit the number of offensive possessions that Indianapolis ends up having. The Colts will still win this game because they're too good at racking up points, but the Dirty Birds will cover the spread in a low-scoring affair.

Prediction: Colts 22 - 19 Falcons
