MLB

Minnesota Twins @ Chicago White Sox at 2:10 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The four-game set between the 27-29 Twins and the 28-27 White Sox ends today. Chicago demolished Minnesota yesterday with a 15-2 drubbing. In his MLB debut, White Sox pitcher David Sandlin held the Twins to one hit and one earned run in six innings pitched, while infielder Chase Meidroth hit the first grand slam of his career. With that win, Chicago's lead for the second wild card spot in the AL improved to 1.5 games. Today, Minnesota will utilize its bullpen with reliever Kendry Rojas getting the start. Opposite him, David Martin and his 2.04 ERA (seventh in baseball) get the nod for the White Sox.

One question that will be answered: Will Chicago's Munetaka Murakami hit a home run in his fourth consecutive game?

Chicago Cubs @ Pittsburgh Pirates at 6:40 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The 30-26 Cubs' losing streak came to an end at 10 games with a 10-4 victory over the Pirates yesterday. It was a rough outing for Pittsburgh pitchers Bubba Chandler and Yohan Ramirez, who gave up eight earned runs in 5.1 innings pitched. It also doesn't hurt that Chicago's Ian Happ hit one out of the park before finishing the game with five RBIs. Considering the Cubs and Pirates are both within a game of the NL Wild Cards, this contest will have a major impact on both teams' postseason chances. Colin Rea gets the start for Chicago, while Pittsburgh ace Paul Skenes will be on the mound for the Pirates.

One question that will be answered: After giving up nine earned runs over his last two starts, how many runs will Paul Skenes allow today?

WNBA

Las Vegas Aces @ Dallas Wings at 8:00 p.m. EDT on Amazon Prime Video.

Two of the league's best teams square off tonight when the reigning champion 4-2 Aces travel to Dallas to take on the 4-3 Wings. Las Vegas is looking to bounce back from a 101-95 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks. The same cannot be said for Dallas, which is 3-1 in its last four games and is coming off a 15-point win over the New York Liberty. Unfortunately, former number-one overall pick Paige Bueckers is a game-time decision as she nurses a leg injury. Regardless, this is still bound to be a good matchup between playoff-caliber teams.

One question that will be answered: If Paige Bueckers does play tonight, how many points will she score?

Indiana Fever @ Golden State Valkyries at 10:00 p.m. EDT on Amazon Prime Video.

Caitlin Clark and the 4-2 Indiana Fever hit the road to face the 4-2 Golden State Valkyries as both squads try to keep pace with the 5-2 Minnesota Lynx for the best record in the WNBA. The Fever are on a three-game win streak after they beat the Valkyries six days ago, 90-82. Caitlin Calrk had a game-high 22 points in that contest. At the same time, Golden State is trying to win its second consecutive game after a 97-70 thrashing of the Connecticut Sun.

One question that will be answered: Will Caitlin Clark score 24 points or more if she plays tonight?

NBA

Oklahoma City Thunder @ San Antonio Spurs Game Six at 8:30 p.m. EDT on NBC and Peacock.

The Western Conference Finals could come to an end tonight as the series shifts back to San Antonio for Game Six. The last time out, the Thunder kept Spurs superstar center Victor Wembanyama in check after he went four of 15 from the field and finished the evening with 20 points. It also helped that OKC guard and MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put up 32 points, his most in a game this series. One of two things will happen tonight: either the Thunder will make it back to the NBA Finals for a second consecutive year, or we will get a Game Seven on Saturday. We'll see if the young and upstart Spurs have the mettle to go toe-to-toe with the reigning champs in a win-or-go-home situation.

One question that will be answered: Who will play better: Victor Wembanyama or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander?
