MLB

Cincinnati Reds @ Tampa Bay Rays at 1:10 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

There was a ton of offense in yesterday's game as the Reds defeated the Rays 12-6. With that win, Cincy remained in first place in the AL Central, while Tampa now sits two games back from the Yankees for first place in their division. We’ll probably see much less scoring tonight, since the Reds are starting Brandon Williamson (4.35 ERA), and the Rays will be going to their best starting pitcher by ERA, Nick Martinez (2.45 ERA). With two losses already in this series, Tampa needs to show up in a big way tonight to avoid a clean sweep.

One question that will be answered: Can the Rays hold the Reds to fewer than five runs for the first time in this three-game set?

Milwaukee Brewers @ Detroit Tigers at 6:40 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

Yesterday, the Brewers exploded for seven runs in the top of the eighth inning on their way to a 12-4 victory over the Tigers. With that win, the Brewers moved to 13-9, which allowed them to leapfrog the Pittsburgh Pirates for fourth place in the wildly stacked NL Central. On the other side, Detroit fell to third place in their division behind the Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins. The pitching duel tonight should be exceptional, with the Tigers' Casey Mize posting a 2.78 ERA and the Brewers' Chad Patrick at 0.95. Scoring should be much harder to come by this evening.

One question that will be answered: Will Milwaukee and Detroit combine for at least seven runs tonight?

Minnesota Twins @ New York Mets at 7:10 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The New York Mets are must-see TV because they are an absolute trainwreck right now. They have the longest losing streak in baseball at 12 games. Despite being tied 3-3 going into the ninth inning of last night’s game, New York once again had a meltdown and gave up two runs in what would end up being a 5-3 loss. It's not a matter of if the Mets will f*ck things up, but when. Their ineptitude is a sight to behold. At least Clay Holmes will be on the mound for New York, and he is tied for the 11th-best ERA in baseball this season (1.96).

One question that will be answered: How will the Mets screw up an expected good start by Holmes?

Pittsburgh Pirates @ Texas Rangers at 8:05 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The Pirates didn't have an answer for Rangers pitcher Kumar Rocker, who only gave up one earned run in six innings yesterday. That incredible performance carried Texas to a 5-1 victory, which puts them within a half-game of first place in the AL West. This evening, Pittsburgh will be leaning on Braxton Ashcraft, who has actually been the team's best starting pitcher in terms of ERA this season (2.38). Simultaneously, Jack Leiter gets the start for Texas as he looks to improve on his 4.87 ERA.

One question that will be answered: Can the Pirates' ninth-ranked offense (114 runs scored) bounce back tonight even though Texas is eighth in the MLB in team ERA (3.45)?

NBA

Orlando Magic @ Detroit Pistons at 7:00 p.m. EDT on ESPN.

The Orlando Magic shocked the world by being the only road team to win its first game of the 2026 NBA Playoffs when they downed the Detroit Pistons 112-101. All five of Orlando's starters recorded at least 16 points. Though Cade Cunningham was excellent for Detroit with 39 points, five rebounds, and four assists, only one other player on the team broke the double-digit threshold (Tobias Harris, 17 points). The Pistons will need to get scoring from somebody other than Cunningham and Harris if they want to avoid falling into a 0-2 hole.

One question that will be answered: Will at least four Pistons starters have double-digit scoring outputs?

Phoenix Suns @ Oklahoma City Thunder at 9:30 p.m. EDT on ESPN.

OKC's stalwart defense was clearly too much for the Suns to handle as the Thunder took Game One, 119-84. Mistakes killed Phoenix after their 19 turnovers led to 34 points for Oklahoma City. Meanwhile, the Thunder's three-headed monster of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, and Chet Holmgren combined for more than half of the team's points (63). Devin Booker will also need a better performance for the Suns after he was held to 23 points on Sunday.

One question that will be answered: Considering how bad Phoenix is on offense and how good OKC is defensively, can the Suns score at least 95 points tonight?

NHL

Pittsburgh Penguins @ Philadelphia Flyers at 7:00 p.m. EDT on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.

The Flyers took care of business in Games One and Two to take a commanding 2-0 lead over the Penguins as this series heads to Philadelphia. Flyers goalie Dan Vladar has been fantastic so far, holding Pittsburgh to one goal per game while recording a .955 save percentage. Though he might be old, future Hall of Famer and Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has been invisible so far in this series with zero goals and zero assists. If he can't get anything going in Game Three, Pittsburgh could be at risk of getting swept by its in-state rivals!

One question that will be answered: Will Sidney Crosby record at least one point tonight?

Dallas Stars @ Minnesota Wild at 9:30 p.m. EDT on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.

After a 6-1 drubbing over the weekend, the Stars managed to tie the series 1-1 by beating the Wild on Monday, 4-2. Dallas goalie Jake Oettinger looked much better with 28 saves on 30 shot attempts for a .933 save percentage. Also, Stars 22-year-old center Wyatt Johnston tallied two goals, bringing his point total to three so far in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Now, this series shifts to Minnesota, where the Wild have the seventh-best home record in the National Hockey League (23-10-8).

One question that will be answered: With the best players on these teams (Jason Robertson and Kirill Kaprizov) already combining for six points through the first two games, will they record at least one point each tonight?

Anaheim Ducks @ Edmonton Oilers at 10:00 p.m. EDT on TBS and HBO Max.

The Ducks looked like they were going to stage an impressive comeback once they took a 3-2 lead in the second period of Game One. However, the Oilers' offense overwhelmed Anaheim as Edmonton scored two third-period goals for a 4-3 victory. What's most troubling for the Ducks is that they held the league's best offensive player (Connor McDavid, 138) in check and still lost. Anaheim won't be able to hold McDavid scoreless for long, so they need to take advantage of his off nights, or this series will get out of hand quickly.

One question that will be answered: Will Connor McDavid score at least one goal this evening?
