Trainer Aidan O'Brien is confident Love will benefit from the fast ground when going for gold in the Filly and Mare Turf at the Breeders' Cup at Del Mar on Saturday.
A 12-strong field is set to contest the Grade 1 event over 1m 3f and Love, who will have Ryan Moore in the saddle, is one of the leading contenders to claim the spoils in Southern California.
The four-year-old, who won the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and the Epsom Oaks in 2020, started the year in fantastic fashion by winning the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Ascot in June — holding off Audarya in second and Armory in third.
Following that impressive performance, Love was pitched in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth QIPCO Stakes at Ascot but could only finish a disappointing third, losing out to Charlie Appleby's Adayar.
Another third place came in the Juddmonte International Stakes at York before the chestnut filly failed to get the job done at the Curragh last time out, ending up second in the Moyglare 'Jewels' Blandford Stakes.
Despite being unable to replicate the type of form shown at Ascot in June, O'Brien is still feeling confident of Love's chances of picking up the victory at Del Mar on Saturday.
Speaking to Sky Sports Racing, O'Brien said: "For her to win a Prince of Wales first time out was very difficult.
"That form is there. Her next couple of runs were a little bit below par, but we would say that was maybe because the pace was bit messy and she likes an even pace.
"After that, she had a prep for the Arc, and it was treated as such, but we were very happy with that run. She nearly ran up to her top rating to be second.
"She's fresh, she's well and will like the fast ground. The track and the mile-and-three-furlongs won't be a problem. She's a lovely filly and we're delighted to have her here."
Of the other 11 entries in the race, War Like Goddess for trainer William Mott looks to be the one to beat after racking up four straight victories heading into the Group 1 event.
The four-year-old triumphed at Gulfstream and Keeneland in March and April this year before racking up back-to-back successes at Saratoga, the most recent of those wins being a two and a quarter-length victory over Great Island.
Other potential challengers include Loves Only You and Audarya, while the Ger Lyons-trained Acanella, who was victorious at the Curragh in August in the Snow Fairy Fillies Stakes, will be hoping for a strong performance.
Acanella, who kicked off 2021 with a win at Leopardstown, was only seventh at that Irish venue last time out and a quicker start will be required by jockey Colin Keane in the US on Saturday.
