Newmarket’s Cambridgeshire Meeting provides three days of fantastic racing action, with Thursday marking the first day of the meet.
Seven races are taking place on day one and chief among them is the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes, along with the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes.

First race: 13:15 Plantation Stud British EBF Maiden Stakes Feature race: 15:00 Tattersalls Stakes
Getting under way with the Plantation Stud British EBF Maiden Stakes (13:15), Charlie Appleby won the race with Ghaiyyath in 2017 and his runner, Code Of Honour, is one to consider.
Next up is the British Stallion Studs EBF Premier Fillies' Handicap (13:50) and a competitive field has been assembled for the £60,000 race. The intriguing Federation Of Bloodstock Nursery Handicap (14:25) is up next and there are plenty of winners in the field.
The feature race, the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes (15:00), has attracted a field of nine, including a promising Haggas-trained colt, and the Rose Bowl Stakes (15:35) follows.
The final two races are a couple of handicaps but they look like much better races than the grade suggests, with the Budds Horseracing Memorabilia Handicap (16:15) followed by the JRA Japan Cup (16:45) Handicap.

GREGORY looked like a potential future staying star when landing the Group 2 Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot on just his third start back in 2023, but he has missed a fair amount of time off the track and this has slowed his progression.
But he did well to win a Listed race over 1m6f last time out, as it was his first start for 476 days, and improvement is expected in the Rose Bowl Stakes.
Returning to two miles, Gregory brings a high level of form to the table and should win.

Eloquencia in the JRA Japan Cup Handicap (16:45) @ SP with LiveScore Bet
James Owen has proved himself to be a very talented trainer across both codes and the lightly raced ELOQUENCIA is set to run over a mile for the first time in the JRA Japan Cup Handicap.
This will be just her third start in handicap company and the best could well be yet to come.
Showing signs of improvement with each start in novice and maiden company, she was a good second over 1m2f at Bath back in May and improved again to win on handicap debut at Ripon next time. The longer trip did not suit at Chepstow and a mile will be fine.
