It is Day 2 of Newmarket’s Cambridgeshire Meeting on Friday and we have another seven races to take in, with the Listed Rosemary Stakes (13:15) first off.
The Group 3 Princess Royal Stakes (13:50) is next on the agenda and there is a John & Thady Gosden-trained runner with lots of potential among the field.
One for the two-year-olds, the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes (14:25) usually produces some smart fillies and a field of 10 is set to go to post for this year’s renewal.
The feature race is the Group 2 Joel Stakes (15:00) and Charlie Appleby’s Talk Of New York will be aiming to return to winning ways, with the Listed Goldolphin Stakes (15:35) up next.
There is an interesting maiden (16:10) as our penultimate race before racing concludes with a competitive Handicap (16:45).

John & Thady Gosden could have a smart filly on their hands, as WITHOUT PREJUDICE is 2/2 so far and has won impressively on both occasions. The daughter of Starman is a half-sister to the excellent Emily Upjohn, who won multiple Groups 1s for this yard.
She looked a little green on her debut on the July Course in July but once the penny dropped, the three-year-old kicked clear in really good style to score by just shy of five lengths. Connections decided against running her on softer ground at York after that.
She went on to win another novice event with plenty in hand, despite carrying a penalty, at Windsor and looks ready for the step up in grade.

Lizzana each-way in the Rosemary Stakes (13:15) @ 14/1 with LiveScore Bet
The opening race is an open-looking Listed contest over a mile and the Marco Botti-trained LIZZANA could be a little overpriced. The daughter of Saxon Warrior remains unexposed and brings some decent European group form to the table.
She was narrowly denied when second on debut at Wolverhampton in September and left that run well behind at Kempton the following month, where she landed a Class 2 novice by a little under three lengths and defied a penalty to win her next start in March as well.
A trip to San Siro then followed and she ran with plenty of credit in the Italian Guineas, finishing second by a narrow margin. It is possible that more will be needed but she remains unexposed and there is a good chance that the best is yet to come.

Another one for the Gosdens, Spirited Gesture produced a smart performance to win on his debut on the July Course and defied a penalty in good style at Newcastle after that. Both successes came over this trip and another big run is expected, now up in grade.
Bet 3: Back Fortitudine to win the Godolphin Stakes (15:35) @ 9/4 with LiveScore Bet
Charlie Appleby is on fire at the moment and his bosses would love to win this Godolpin-sponsored Listed event. Fortitudine looked very special when bolting up on debut and looks more than ready for this much stiffer task.
