Clive Cox's Flash Harry is expected to bid for glory in the Ayr Gold Cup.

We have been treated to two competitive cards at Ayr on Thursday and Friday, but it is Saturday's card which provides the best of the action this week.

Our main event is the thoroughly competitive Ayr Gold Cup, for which there is a £180,000 prize fund on offer and a maximum field of 25 has been declared for the big race.

Here is everything you need to know about Ayr's Saturday card, including the day's best bets.

Ayr Gold Cup Day - Key info

First race: 13:20 Ladbrokes "Bet £5 Get £30 New Customer Offer" Handicap Feature race: 15:40 Ayr Gold Cup

The Ayr Gold Cup is well supported by the Silver Cup and the Group 3 Firth Of Clyde Stakes and there are some more thoroughly competitive handicaps to look forward to as well.

Amo Racing's €1,000,000 Silent Beauty runs in the Firth Of Clyde and she bids to prove herself in Group 3 company, having landed a Listed contest recently.

William Haggas' Binhareer was fourth in a group race last time and heads the Ayr Gold Cup betting.

Best bet of the day

Silent Beauty to win the Firth Of Clyde (15:05) @ 13/8

The big-spending Amo Racing went to seven figures to pick up SILENT BEAUTY at the sales in September and the early signs suggest that it was potentially money well spent. This impeccably bred filly is out of a Group 1 winner and is by the high-flying Night Of Thunder.

Always prominent on debut at Yarmouth, she was strong at the finish on that occasion and saw the race out well, kicking clear to score by four lengths. Things did not go to plan at Royal Ascot in the Albany Stakes but it is easy to forgive that effort as she’s clearly better than that.

Kevin Philippart De Foy's filly got back on track in Listed company at Redcar on her most recent start and was strong at the finish once again, coming out on top by three lengths. She is ready for a return to group company and looks like the one to beat here.

Best each-way bet of the day

Flash Harry each-way in the Ayr Gold Cup (15:40) @ 14/1

The Ayr Gold Cup is a ferociously competitive race as always and finding an improver with the scope to progress again could be the way forward.

It is unlikely that we have seen the best of Clive Cox's FLASH HARRY just yet and he looks well set to run another big race.

Winning twice as a three-year-old last term, he triumphed in a Wolverhampton maiden over this trip by eight-and-a-half lengths, which does not happen too often. He then won a competitive Goodwood handicap comfortably three months later, which earned him a three-figure mark.

The son of Harry Angel returned to winning ways in the same Goodwood race this year and it’s easy to make the case that he can follow up off a 4lb higher mark here.

Ayr Gold Cup Day acca

You cannot go wrong with an accumulator, so here are three strong fancies from across Ayr's Saturday card and they combine to form a 30/1 treble.

Bet 1: Mcmurray to win the Ladbrokes "Bet £5 Get £30 New Customer Offer" Handicap (13:20) @ 11/4

George Boughey's Mcmurray has won four of his six starts so far and has not tasted defeat since his second run. He made a successful return to action at Chester in May and looks like one to keep on side until his limitations are exposed.

Bet 2: Ice Max to win the Doonside Cup Stakes (13:55) @ 5/2

Ice Max brings a strong level of form to the table here and, while he does not win too often, there are no excuses this time around. Karl Burke's five-year-old wasn’t beaten far when third in the Huxley Stakes at Chester in May and a similar effort would be enough.

Bet 3: Silent Beauty to win the Firth Of Clyde (15:05) @ 13/8

Silent Beauty's Listed success at Ripon last time out is clearly the best form on offer here and she probably does not need to improve much on that performance to land this Group 3 contest.
