Rory McIlroy is the defending champion after completing the Grand Slam last year
This will be the 90th edition of the Masters
Recommended bets:
The 90th edition of the Masters takes place at Augusta National this week and there is a star-studded field of 91 set to battle it out for the coveted Green Jacket in Georgia.
Rory McIlroy returns bidding to become just the fourth player to successfully retain his title, though he has experienced back issues in the build-up to the opening Major of the season.
Another player with back problems is Collin Morikawa, who has not played since withdrawing from The Players Championship and admits he is taking things day-by-day in regards to his participation at the Masters.
World number one Scottie Scheffler has not been at his best in recent weeks and his preparations were also affected by the recent arrival of his second child with his wife Meredith.

Fleetwood to end Major wait
Having shed the tag of being one of the best players in the world without a PGA Tour title at the 2025 Tour Championship, Tommy Fleetwood will now be aiming to cross his name off the list of best players not to have won a Major.
The Englishman has come close on several occasions to landing one of the 'big four' tournaments, posting runner-up finishes at the US Open and Open Championship along with a further five top-five results.
One of those top-fives came at the 2024 Masters, where the 35-year-old was tied-third, and his consistent form this season suggests he can put in another bold showing.
Fleetwood has recorded four top-10s in his last five starts, the latest of those coming at last week's Texas Open, while his ranking of fifth in strokes gained tee-to-green should give him an edge at Augusta.

Revitalised Reed can strike again
Patrick Reed said he left LIV to return to the PGA Tour because he "wanted that adrenaline back" and he has been in superb form since leaving the Saudi-backed circuit.
Unable to rejoin the PGA Tour until the 2027 season, the American has been plying his trade on the DP World Tour and he has picked up two titles this year – the Dubai Desert Classic and the Qatar Masters.
Having also finished runner-up in the Bahrain Championship and tied-10th at the Joburg Open on his last outing, the 35-year-old is in great shape and he leads in strokes gained tee-to-green on the European circuit.
Reed already knows what it feels like to have the Green Jacket slipped onto his shoulders, having won the 2018 edition, and he has enjoyed his returns since with last year's third-place effort his second top-five in the last three Masters.

Scott can land second Green Jacket
Another former champion in the field this week is Adam Scott, who continues to mix it with the best at the age of 45 and looks to be a lively contender to land his second Green Jacket.
The Australian has impressed from tee to green this season, as he ranks 12th in strokes gained in that department, and he warmed up for this event with a tied-21st finish at the Houston Open.
With a fourth-place at the Genesis Invitational and a tied-11th at the Arnold Palmer, Scott has proven he still retains all of his ability and it would be no surprise to see him in the mix come Sunday.
