Jordan Smith finished T12 at The Belfry last year
Marco Penge won last week's Danish Championship
Recommended bets:
Where better to drown in Ryder Cup talk than at The Belfry, the course which boasts such a magical and memorable role in the rebirth of the biennial event.
This is the penultimate counting event to make Luke Donald's Europe team for next month's event, which means a dozen or so players have plenty on their mind heading to the Brabazon Course for the British Masters.

Smith can give Donald a pre-Cup headache
Jordan Smith has spent much of the year in the Ryder Cup conversation and that voice is only going to get stronger over the next few days at The Belfry.
Or at least that is the proposition, because Smith looks a good man to consider in a classy field gathered at the 7,356-yard, par 72 Brabazon Course.
World No.91 Smith deserves plenty of respect given the year he is enjoying, which features six top-10s, most recently a T6 at the Nexo Championship at Turnberry two weekends ago.
The Englishman played well at The Belfry last year, signing off on the Sunday with a 67 for a tie for 12th.

Laurie can canter into the frame
Only four Brits have won the British Masters in the last couple of decades but there are plenty of home hopefuls who will be fancying their chances, among them Laurie Canter.
Canter has played the course four times with three top-30s, hardly a surprise given his strength off the tee, which is paramount here.
Th 35-year-old began the year beautifully with a win and a third in the desert and a second place at the South African Championship.
He tried his luck in the States without much success but a T7 at the BMW International Open in Germany in July gave an indication of the level where he performs best.

Say it is not so, Joe!
Joe Dean has had a difficult 2025 following up his amazing rookie year, grafting just to keep his card.
When he did it – two weeks ago at Turnberry – he did so in style, finishing second behind Grant Forrest to soar back into the tour's top 50.
He duly missed the cut in Denmark despite a day-two 69 and is such a streaky player that when it clicks, he is a danger to any course and any field.
And, of course, he is a big price.
