Video: Salah takes sole lead of the Turkish league scorers' chart through the Besiktas gateway

The Pharaoh is always on time

Egypt's Mohamed Salah has pulled clear at the top of the Turkish league's scoring charts this season, with the Trabzonspor man now out on his own.

Salah struck his eighth goal of the campaign against Besiktas in the ongoing eighth-round clash.

Trabzonspor lead 2-0 as things stand. The result would lift Salah's side up to fifth in the table on 15 points.

A free transfer brought Salah to Trabzonspor at the start of the season, a fresh challenge after the end of his Liverpool story.

Besiktas had themselves been in the hunt for his signature before he opted for Trabzonspor, only for talks between the two parties to hit the rocks.
