Inter cantered to the Serie A title by an 11-point margin last term and completed the domestic double shortly after thanks to a 2-0 Coppa Italia Final win over Lazio, all of which was achieved during Head Coach Christian Chivu’s first year in charge.
Unsurprisingly, the all-conquering Nerazzurri will start the fresh 2026/27 campaign as even-money favourites in LiveScoreBet’s Serie A outright markets to retain their crown, however, beyond Inter, there are options of interest and alternatives that could provide better value.

The decision makers in the Inter boardroom took a gamble on Christian Chivu last year, handing the inexperienced head coach the reins after his very short (if promising) stint with Parma.
Simone Inzaghi was always likely to be a tough act to follow, though Chivu managed to match his predecessors’ Serie A title haul at the first time of asking. Inzaghi guided Inter to Champions League Finals twice, but managed to win the Italian top tier just once (in 2023/24).
Chivu has already emulated that feat, guiding his charges to top spot with an impressive 87 points and 89 goals. Inter lost two of their first three Serie A fixtures under Chivu, but only one of their final 26 games in the division to streak clear of their nearest challengers.
They look decently positioned to retain the Scudetto under the Romanian’s instruction in 2026/27, though they have lost a glut of experience at the back following the summer departures of defenders Stefan de Vrij, Matteo Darmian and Francesco Acerbi, as well as first-choice stopper Yann Sommer.
In terms of incomings, Manuel Akanji joined permanently from Man City after a solid loan spell with Inter last term, while John Stones arrives on a free transfer from the same club, while the capture of keeper Ivan Provedel from Lazio for a nominal fee also looks like a tidy piece of business.
Further up the pitch it’s as you were for Inter, but that’s ok. They scored a whopping 24 goals more than the league’s next-most prolific team last term (Como, 65 goals), and in strike duo Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, they still have two of last season’s top-four scorers in Serie A.
It’s easy to see why Inter are attracting the most interest in the outright markets, however, backing them over the course of a campaign at odds of just 1/1 doesn’t have quite enough oomph to keep us interested.

Napoli: 9/2 – Partenopei best avoided under Allegri
In typical style, Antonio Conte burned brightly and briefly at Napoli, delivering an emotionally-charged Serie A title in 2024/25 before leaving the club in acrimonious circumstances a year later.
Max Allegri has stepped into the breach in Naples after he was axed by an unimpressed AC Milan in June, having failed to secure Champions League qualification, though that appointment didn’t exactly set pulses racing.
Allegri’s style of football has long been considered dull and dated. Stylistically, he feels like a bad fit for Napoli and a fanbase used to watching more exciting stuff.
Indeed, seen as something of a “yesterday’s man”, the 59-year-old hasn’t won a Serie A title since 2019. His risk-averse tactical approach is likely to be quite a comedown from Conte’s more aggressive, hard-running philosophy, too.
Napoli’s position as second-favourites in the outright Serie A markets probably stems from their recent record. They’ve won the title twice in the last three years, and have finished third or higher in four of their last five campaigns in Italy.
Still, Napoli scored only 58 times while finishing second last term and they’ve done little to bolster their firepower over the summer. There will be a big onus on Rasmus Hojlund and Scott McTominay to deliver goals again then, though Allegri doesn’t tend to squeeze much juice out of his attacking players.
There are enough factors at play here to suggest it would be smart to give Napoli a wide berth in the Serie A title betting markets.

Juventus: 5/1 – The Old Lady could be a dark horse
Just outside the current Serie A title favourites, Juventus are lurking with a bit of menace and their prospects, especially as an each-way candidate, look promising at 5/1.
They finished down in sixth spot last season, however, it was a campaign of managerial upheaval in Turin, with Luciano Spalletti eventually settling into the role in late October.
Spalletti has been around the block, though he is a former Serie A title winner with Napoli and seemed rejuvenated by his return to club football following his unsuccessful jaunt as manager of the Italian national team.
With Spalletti in charge, Juventus won 20 of their final 38 matches of the season in all competitions. They also were unbeaten in five games in the Champions League’s League Phase under the 67-year-old, and when the dust settled in Serie A, only champions Inter (5) had lost fewer fixtures than Juve (7).
There is a definite platform for Spalletti to build on this year and the re-signing of Randal Kolo Muani as well as the capture of in-demand wonderkid Kerim Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen both look like exciting moves. Further additions are planned before kick-off.
Winner of the 2025/26 Serie A Rising Star Award, Kenan Yildiz, is also a year wiser, while the likes of Weston McKennie, Manuel Locatelli, Khephren Thuram, Francisco Conceicao and Gleison Bremer have all been retained thus far.
With Spalletti’s feet firmly under the table and a squad primed to improve, Juventus could emerge as the keenest challengers to Inter’s domestic dominance.

AC Milan – 11/2 – All eyes are on Ruben Amorim following his disastrous spell with Manchester United. However, some of the language he used in his pre-season pressers will give United fans PTSD, while there have also been some early grumblings from Rossoneri fans about Amorim’s three-man defensive setup and his decision to deploy players out of position during a poor run of friendly results. They’ve also gone big on Goncalo Ramos and if the €70m signing from PGS doesn’t deliver goals, disaster could follow.
Roma - 9/1 – Roma finished third under Gian Piero Gasperini last season, however, their resources will be stretched further this term by their Champions League involvement. Santiago Casto (Bologna) and Nahuel Molina (Atletico Madrid) are interesting additions and part of a €90m transfer splurge over the summer, though Roma will do well to match last season’s 73-point haul in Serie A.
Atalanta - 33/1 – La Dea recorded their lowest Serie A finish (7th) since 2022 last season and promptly sacked Raffaele Palladino. They’ve turned to Maurizio Sarri to resurrect their fortunes, however, he was himself jettisoned by Lazio after leading them to an even lower league position (9th). Atalanta have been modest shoppers over the summer, so don’t expect much improvement.
Como - 33/1 – Como won 20 games and achieved the highest Serie A finish (4th) in their history last season. They have Champions League football to look forward to this term, however, they have sold more players than they’ve bought ahead of what promises to be a much busier campaign. Álvaro Morata (AC Milan) and Trevoh Chalobah (Chelsea), Luis Milla (Getafe) and Yan Couto (Dortmund) look like smart pick-ups, but the extra fixture strain might mean Como regress.
