England are unbeaten in seven, winning six of the those matches
Japan on a four-game winning streak and beat Scotland 1-0 last time out
Recommended bet: England to win and both teams to score
England were held to a 1-1 draw by Uruguay at Wembley last week and now face another tricky assignment as they host an in-form Japan side.
This is the final Three Lions friendly fixture before the deadline for boss Thomas Tuchel to name his final World Cup 2026 squad, so we may see a very different team to the one that started against Uruguay as the German considers his options.
Japan, who have been drawn in Group F at this summer's showpiece, claimed an impressive 1-0 win over Scotland in their friendly game last week to make it four wins in a row.

Team news
Eight players have departed the England squad following the stalemate with Uruguay and nine have arrived.
The players who have left are injured quintet Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, Adam Wharton and John Stones, while Fikayo Tomori, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Aaron Ramsdale have also departed.
Harry Kane, Morgan Rogers, Anthony Gordon, Elliott Anderson, Nico O’Reilly, Marc Guehi, Ezri Konsa, Dan Burn and Dean Henderson have all joined the squad.
Japan are likely to make changes to the team that faced Scotland, with Feyenoord forward Ayase Ueda and Premier League-based pair Daichi Kamada and Kaoru Mitoma likely to come into the starting XI.
The stats
England have never lost to Japan (W2, D1) and the Three Lions have won six of their last seven games.
Japan have scored 11 goals across their last five games.
England are unbeaten in their last six games at Wembley.

Prediction
The Three Lions produced a below-par performance in their stalemate with Uruguay, but regardless of that they were still unfortunate not to win on the balance of play.
We should see a reaction from the England team on Tuesday in what is their final chance to impress Tuchel before he finalises his squad and, with home advantage, they should be able to get the better of Japan.
A stronger England team, led by returning captain Kane, will also be on display, but Japan have enough quality to make this game competitive and they can at least grab a goal in defeat at Wembley.
Japan stunned Scotland last week despite starting with a few of their key men on the bench and they come into the game in fine form.
The Blue Samurai are unbeaten in five and have won their last four, a run that started with an impressive 3-2 victory over Brazil in Tokyo in October last year.
Both managers will make plenty of changes over the course of the contest to give as much gametime as possible to various players and these types of friendlies tend to be quite open, so a Japan consolation effort has a strong chance.
