Oldham Athletic vs Accrington Stanley (Saturday, 12:30 pm)
Oldham had last weekend off after their meeting with Northampton was postponed during the international break, but before that, Athletic had lost four times on the spin in League Two, a dismal run that pushed them to within two places of the drop zone.
Accrington Stanley meanwhile, have lost only one of their last seven matches in league and cup, and they enjoyed a 2-0 win over highflying Cheltenham last weekend, courtesy of two late Charlie Warren goals. The Accies also beat Salford in the EFL Trophy on penalties in midweek, so they should be confident enough to avoid defeat at Boundary Park.
Score prediction: Oldham Athletic 1-1 Accrington Stanley

Swindon Town vs Crewe Alexandra (Saturday, 12:30 pm)
Injury-troubled Swindon were on course for what would have been a useful point at Rochdale last weekend before an 85th-minute red card for Kaelan Majekodunmi left them exposed. They conceded the game’s deciding goal just three minutes later to lose for the third time in four League Two assignments, heaping more pressure on under-fire manager Ian Holloway.
In contrast, unbeaten Crewe moved up to third position in League Two following their superb 3-1 triumph over Bristol Rovers last week, a result that snapped a run of six successive draws in the division. Despite their recent woes, Swindon have claimed ten points from 12 at home this term however, so Crewe might have to settle for parity in Wiltshire.
Score prediction: Swindon Town 1-1 Crewe Alexandra

Bristol Rovers vs Barnet (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Rovers boss Steve Evans was serving a touchline ban last weekend and he picked a good day to be in the stands as his team were dismantled by Crewe (3-1). They are still in the playoff positions, however, Bristol Rovers have lost three of their last four league fixtures, conceding eight times along the way.
Still, Rovers have won a record-breaking 11 home league games on the spin at the Memorial Ground and most of their mishaps continue to happen on the road. That superb home record will be tested by Barnet, however. The visitors are unbeaten and top the scorers’ charts despite playing two games fewer than everyone else. Don’t be surprised if the Bees shatter Rovers’ run.
Score prediction: Bristol Rovers 1-2 Barnet
Back Barnet Double Chance against Bristol Rovers at 4/7 with LiveScore Bet
Cheltenham Town vs Salford City (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Cheltenham boss Steve Cotterill blamed refereeing decisions for last weekend’s 2-0 loss at Accrington Stanley, but in truth, Cheltenham were convincingly outplayed throughout, conceding 23 shots and 2.59 in expected goals against in their defeat. To compound their misery, they also lost leading marksman Charlie McCann to a late red card. The now-suspended 24-year-old will sit out Saturday’s test.
In-form Salford moved to the summit of League Two after their 1-0 win over Fleetwood when last seen. That deserved victory was the Ammies’ fifth inside six league assignments, and City will fancy their chances of extending that run here, especially with Cheltenham’s McCann sidelined. Salford have yet to keep a clean sheet on the road however, and they’ll have to work hard for the points at the EV Charger Points Stadium.
Score prediction: Cheltenham Town 1-2 Salford City

Crawley Town vs Chesterfield (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Bottom club Crawley haven’t played a league fixture since September 19th, however, they’ve probably enjoyed the break, having started the campaign with five defeats in seven. A 4-0 victory over Bromley in the EFL Trophy in midweek was a nice way to prep for the weekend, though a follow-up win against Chesterfield should be tougher to come by.
The Spireites scored a flurry of late goals, including a brace from Josh Koroma, to beat a spirited Tranmere (4-2) last weekend, and that was Chesterfield’s fifth win in six games in all competitions. Manager Paul Cook has been squeezing good output out of his frontline and Chesterfield’s firepower could come to the fore again here.

Fleetwood Town vs Walsall (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Fleetwood have tumbled down the standings following three defeats in a row, though two of those losses were suffered against leaders Salford (0-1) and second-placed Barnet (1-2). Their tough gauntlet of fixtures continues on Saturday when they entertain unbeaten Walsall at Highbury Stadium.
Walsall haven’t played for two weeks and they still hold the best defensive record in League Two, having conceded only five times in eight matches. Fleetwood, who’ve been averaging just one goal per game in the league since August, failed to score in two of their last three in the fourth tier and they might toil in the final third again on Saturday.
Score prediction: Fleetwood Town 0-1 Walsall

Newport County vs Colchester United (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Newport will view last weekend’s 0-0 draw at Gillingham as an opportunity lost, having created the game’s better chances, though Hayden Mullins said he was “pleased with the performance” in the aftermath and the Exiles are now unbeaten in five games in League Two. They remain unbeaten in Wales since the start of the campaign too, and have been averaging a healthy 2.00 goals per 90 minutes at Rodney Parade.
Colchester meanwhile, had last weekend off, though they haven’t won in five attempts in the league since late September. They’re also completely winless on the road since the start of the campaign and they’ve kept only one clean sheet in nine league matches overall. Newport offer the best value here.
Score prediction: Newport County 2-1 Colchester United

Port Vale vs Grimsby Town (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Port Vale haven’t contested a league match since mid-September and they’ve dropped to second-last place in the standings in the meantime. Still, despite their lowly position, the Valiants have yet to taste defeat at home this term and they won again at Vale Park in midweek against Mansfield (2-0) in the EFL Trophy.
Grimsby slipped to a surprise 2-1 defeat at home to Shrewsbury last weekend and afterwards, manager David Artell said it was their “first bad performance for months”. However, the Mariners have now lost four times on the trot in all competitions. Town haven’t won a single away game in League Two since the summer either, so they could drop more points on Saturday.
Score prediction: Port Vale 2-1 Grimsby Town

Rotherham United vs Gillingham (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Rotherham have been finding goals hard to come by of late and they failed to score in each of their last two game against Bradford (0-4) in the EFL Trophy and Exeter (0-1) in League Two. The Millers didn’t land a single shot on target in that loss to the Grecians and they don’t look capable of outscoring any opponent at present.
Gillingham have been similarly flat in the final third, failing to register in each of their last two league matches, and they were fortunate to escape with a point against Newport last weekend, having mustered just one shot on target and 0.28 in expected goals. Their meeting with Rotherham is unlikely to inspire.
Score prediction: Rotherham United 0-0 Gillingham
Back Under 2.5 Goals in Rotherham United vs Gillingham at 10/11 with LiveScore Bet
Shrewsbury Town vs Exeter City (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Goals in either half from George Lloyd and Kian McMahon-Brown fired Shrewsbury to an unexpected win at Grimsby (2-1) last weekend, and an improving Salop are now suddenly on a four-game unbeaten streak in League Two. They hit two goals in three of those matches and with their output on the up, they could outgun Exeter.
The visiting Grecians eked out a narrow 1-0 win over Rotherham last time out, though that was the seventh League Two fixture in a row where City hit one or fewer goals. City have only managed to score one goal in four away games combined since the start of the season and their lack of punch could hinder them at The Croud Meadow.
Score prediction: Shrewsbury Town 1-0 Exeter City
Back Under 2.5 Goals in Shrewsbury Town vs Exeter City at 8/11 with LiveScore Bet
Tranmere Rovers vs Rochdale (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Tranmere have done plenty of good work this season, though their 4-2 loss at Chesterfield last weekend was their most significant of the campaign so far, and Rovers are suddenly in the midst of a four-game winless slump in League Two. Darrell Clarke’s side still have an intact unbeaten record at Prenton Park however, and they can harness home advantage against Rochdale.
The Dale’s results have been mixed of late, though there has been a sending-off in each of their last four games and in five of their last seven fixtures in all competitions overall, which has warped analysis of their performances. Rochdale were clobbered 5-0 by Huddersfield in the EFL Trophy in midweek however, and softened by that, they look vulnerable again here.
Score prediction: Tranmere Rovers 2-1 Rochdale
Back Tranmere Rovers to Win against Rochdale at 49/50 with LiveScore Bet
York City vs Northampton Town (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
York haven’t played in League Two since swatting Gillingham (3-0) aside on September 26th, though they have a chance to return with a bang on Saturday against struggling Northampton. Promoted York have won 100% of their first four home league games of the season, netting 12 times along the way and they can flex their muscles at the LNER Community Stadium again here.
The recent international break ate chunks out of Northampton’s schedule and the Cobblers have been out of league action even longer than York. They’ve won only once in seven attempts since their relegation from the third tier however, and no other side in the division has scored fewer goals (3). This has the makings of a routine York victory.
Score prediction: York City 3-0 Northampton Town
