Bristol Rovers have lost six of their last seven league games ahead of their clash with Swindon Town.
Crawley play their first fixture since sacking Colin Kazim-Richards when they host Tranmere Rovers.
Exeter will be targeting a fifth clean sheet in a row when they welcome Fleetwood Town to St. James’ Park.
The dust is still settling after a frenetic midweek fixture slate, however, League Two action returns on Saturday, 24th October, with another glut of matches from English football’s fourth tier.
With Walsall’s clash with Salford moved to Monday, there are 11 instead of the usual 12 games on the agenda, starting with three lunchtime kick-offs before the rest of the day’s action follows at 3 pm.
Below, we have free betting tips and selections for all 11 games from Saturday’s set, with prices for each take from LiveScore Bet’s latest League Two odds*.

Bristol Rovers vs Swindon Town (Saturday, 12:30 pm)
As we predicted earlier in the week, Bristol Rovers were turned over by Salford (1-2) on Tuesday evening and suffered their sixth loss in seven League Two assignments in the process. They were two goals down inside 20 minutes at the Mem, though the Pirates did rally in the second half and almost rescued a point.
Swindon meanwhile, produced one of the shock results of the campaign so far when they toppled unbeaten highfliers Barnet (3-1) to snap a six-game winless slump. Robins keeper Connor Ripley made a staggering 11 saves at the Hive and he might need to be at his best again here. Goals could be in the offing when these West Country neighbours collide.
Score prediction: Bristol Rovers 3-2 Swindon Town

Cheltenham Town vs Newport County (Saturday, 12:30 pm)
Cheltenham were three goals to the good by half-time and eventually earned a 4-2 win at home to Fleetwood on Tuesday to move back into League Two’s playoff positions. That was a much-needed boost for Steve Cotterill’s side, who had lost three on the bounce before that.
Newport stretched their unbeaten run to seven matches in the division the same evening when they claimed a share of the spoils at Rotherham (2-2), and they almost snatched a late winner in South Yorkshire. Hayden Mullins' men are proving very stubborn and they can avoid defeat again here.
Score prediction: Cheltenham Town 2-2 Newport County

Northampton Town vs Colchester United (Saturday, 12:30 pm)
Northampton fluffed a series of early opportunities and were eventually punished for their profligacy by Tranmere (0-1) in midweek, much to the frustration of boss Chris Hogg. The Cobblers remain the division’s joint-lowest scorers (6) and their lack of punch in the final third could hold them back again on Saturday.
Draw specialists Colchester have already drawn more than half of their League Two fixtures this season and their tussle with Chesterfield (1-1) on Tuesday was their latest stalemate. That was also their third game in a row where under 2.5 goals landed, so don’t expect much excitement when the U’s visit Sixfields.
Score prediction: Northampton Town 0-0 Colchester United

Barnet vs Oldham Athletic (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Barnet lost their unbeaten record on Tuesday, though they will be scratching their head as to how that happened. They racked up 11 shots on target and 3.38 in expected goals in their shock 3-1 reverse at home to Swindon, but couldn’t beat an inspired Connor Ripley between the sticks. Burned by that, expect a response from the Bees on Saturday.
Oldham were outclassed by Walsall (4th) in midweek and their 3-0 loss to the Saddlers suggests they might struggle just as badly against second-placed Barnet. Athletic have lost four and drawn one of their five away assignments in League Two so far, so it makes sense to oppose them again on Saturday.
Score prediction: Barnet 3-0 Oldham Athletic

Chesterfield vs Crewe Alexandra (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Chesterfield took the lead through Dilan Markanday but eventually had to settle for a point against Colchester (1-1) during the week, and they’ve now failed to win four of their last five matches in League Two. The Spireites had enough chances to win on Tuesday and they will need to show a more clinical edge to beat Crewe.
Visiting Alexandra were beaten for the first time this season when they lost 2-0 at Exeter in midweek, and they toiled to create anything against a mean Grecian defence in Devon. That was the first time they failed to score in a league fixture in nine matches and Crewe could get back on the goalscoring trail at Chesterfield.

Crawley Town vs Tranmere Rovers (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Crawley sacked manager Colin Kazim-Richards on Wednesday, the day after their 3-2 loss at home to Shrewsbury, leaving League Two’s bottom club in a state of disarray ahead of the weekend. Town have claimed only one of the 15 points on offer at home since the start of the campaign, and it will be interesting to see how they respond against Tranmere.
Rovers rode out an early storm to eke out a 1-0 win at Northampton in midweek and showed excellent defensive discipline in the closing stages to see the result through. Fresh from their first away win of the season, Micky Mellon’s side can travel again with confidence on Saturday. However, Kazim-Richards’s dismissal does cloud the picture, so steer clear of match result markets.

Exeter City vs Fleetwood Town (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
A well-rounded performance saw Exeter (2-0) end Crewe’s unbeaten record on Tuesday, and their rock-solid defensive foundations provided the platform for another positive result. The Grecians have now kept four clean sheets in a row and they’ve conceded only six times in 12 League Two fixtures overall.
Fleetwood’s away-day woes continued at Cheltenham in midweek and their 4-2 loss there pushed their winless run on the road to five games. With their spirits dampened, City might struggle to breach an Exeter defence that has shipped just one goal in six home matches combined since the summer.

Gillingham vs Grimsby Town (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Gillingham played well in the first half and established a narrow lead against Port Vale on Tuesday before taking their foot off the gas after the interval. They were eventually pegged back and almost lost at the end when Vale missed a big chance to net a winner. The unconvincing Gills have now won just once in their last six assignments in League Two.
Grimsby meanwhile, snapped a run of six defeats in all competitions with their 2-2 draw at Rochdale in midweek. The Mariners created five big chances in an exciting tussle with Dale and manager David Artell will want a repeat showing at Priestfield. Expect an open game in Kent.
Score prediction: Gillingham 2-2 Grimsby Town

Rochdale vs Accrington Stanley (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
Rochdale’s defending continues to look shaky and following Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Grimsby, they’ve now conceded ten goals in their last four matches combined in league and cup. Only Swindon (16.3) have been conceding more shots per 90 minutes in League Two than the Dale (15.8), and until they sort their looseness at the back out, wins will be hard to come by.
Accrington Stanley came within a whisker of claiming what would have been a superb win at York in midweek, before they were denied by a last-minute leveller. Still, the Accies are unbeaten in eight games in all competitions and they can stretch that impressive run at the Crown Oil Arena.
Score prediction: Rochdale 1-2 Accrington Stanley

Rotherham United vs Shrewsbury Town (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
In need of a win, Rotherham blew a two-goal lead against Newport (2-2) in midweek to leave their supporters fuming and manager Alex Bruce “bitterly disappointed” at full time. The Millers haven’t won in League Two since September 19 and they’re now only one place above the drop zone.
Sailing has been smoother for Shrewsbury, who’ve won three of their last four matches in the division, and their only loss in seven outings in the fourth tier came in a narrow reverse to Exeter (0-1) earlier this month. Manager Gavin Cowan said his side’s 3-2 win at Crawley on Tuesday was their best performance of the season, so expect a confident Salop to take the game to Rotherham.
Score prediction: Rotherham United 2-3 Shrewsbury Town
Back Over 2.5 Goals in Rotherham United vs Shrewsbury Town at 1/1 with LiveScore Bet
York City vs Port Vale (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
They left it very late, but York did force an equaliser against Accrington Stanley through Ollie Pearce in midweek and that meant their unbeaten record at the LNER Community Stadium remained intact. Newly-promoted City are still handily placed in 6th spot, though a return of only one win from their last five league matches has taken the wind out of their sails.
Port Vale seem to be finding their feet in the division meanwhile. They’ve claimed seven points from the last nine on offer and have kept clean sheets in two of their last three. They are still winless on the road however, losing four and drawing one of their five away tests since their relegation, but they might be travelling to York at a good time here.
