Some things in football just mean more, and this showed when Ricardo Kaka was inducted into the AC Milan Hall of Fame.

Some clubs mean more to some players, but it’s not a one-way street. Indeed, some players mean more to some clubs and Milan share that relationship with Kaka. The Brazilian great enjoyed two spells at San Siro, playing 223 times and scoring 77 goals.

It’s not his contributions that made those around the club fall in love with him, though. Instead, his personality and his way of playing football made a great player a legend. Few deserve that title, but its use when Kaka is involved is completely justified.

Kaka becomes latest Hall of Fame inductee

So, last night he was inducted into the Hall of Fame, where only six have entered before him. Of course, those being the late, great Franco Baresi, Filippo Inzaghi, Andriy Shevchenko, Marco van Basten, Carlo Ancelotti and Ruud Gullit.

Another fitting of the title, seeing him inducted was an emotional moment, especially for those who grew up watching him, and it wasn’t just emotional for them.

As can be seen in the clip below, after walking out onto the pitch, a video of his best moments played and he was unable to contain his emotions.
