Watch: De Winter congratulated and Pavlovic absent as Milan train on eve of Ferencvaros game
Ahead of AC Milan’s game against Ferencvaros, a live training session was hosted and a few details have filtered through.
It’s a big game in the Europa League tomorrow; a win would keep Milan in the race for the top eight, anything else will force them to prepare for a Round of 16 knockout tie. It’s a difficult position to be in.
Nevertheless, Ruben Amorim is expected to rotate his squad a little bit, with the average age of his team expected to drop by at least four years, compared to the 28-year-old average of Saturday’s team that won the derby.
Today’s training session
Almost everyone trained today, as MilanNews relays, barring a few out with injury – Pietro Terracciano, Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Alexis Saelemaekers and Samuel Chukwueze – but they were also joined by the absent Strahinja Pavlovic.
Whilst he’s not injured, his minutes have to be monitored carefully and he could play tomorrow. However, he was given a rest today.
In addition to this, a few players went through ‘the tunnel’ getting slaps, with Koni De Winter celebrated for becoming a father. Additionally, Sankoun Diawara, Diego Moreiera, Adrien Rabiot and coach Carlos Fernandes went through for their work in the derby.
