Watch: A goal in each half gets Milan past struggling Udinese – the highlights

AC Milan made it five wins in their opening eight Serie A games on Sunday night as they beat Udinese 2-0 away from home.

Ruben Amorim set the team up in a 4-4-1-1, handing Sankhoun Diawara his first start and deploying Davide Bartesaghi as a winger. Milan took the lead just six minutes in as Luka Modrić sent Christian Pulisic through on goal, with the American providing a lovely touch and finish.

The pressure eventually told early in the second half too, as Okoye could not hold Ardon Jashari’s fierce left-footed strike from the edge of the area, and Omari Hutchinson pounced on the rebound for his first goal for the club, opening up a deserved 2-0 lead.

Goncalo Ramos hit the bar late on while he and Alphadjo Cisse also curled shots just wide, but it finished 2-0 in the end as the Rossoneri management to secure an important win that moves them level with Roma in third.
