Within the space of just three weeks, AC Milan have been dealt two big injury blows at the worst possible time.

Firstly came the news over the international break that Alexis Saelemaekers sustained an ankle issue in training at Milanello. The initial idea was for him to rest and return, but scans showed that the ankle had become destabilised again after previous surgery, and he went under the knife again.

Then, it emerged the day before the Bournemouth game that Samuel Chukwueze had complained of hip discomfort. A specialist check was scheduled for the Nigerian, and it is being reported that he faces a lengthy absence.

With the games still coming thick and fast (six still to play before the mid-November break), Milan are without two of their more versatile men. Now, Ruben Amorim will have to change his plans again.

In the latest Pub Chat, Stefano discusses the right wing-back emergency. What are the current internal solutions? Could the club be forced to act in January? Might Zachary Athekame’s phone soon ring?
