Sky: Milan given huge pre-derby boost as Gila, Moreira and Rabiot return to training
Some good news has come for AC Milan two days before their first derby of the season against Inter, regarding three injured players.
The day after the defeat against Bologna, an update came from Milanello, where AC Milan returned to training ahead of Saturday’s derby: Mario Gila, Diego Moreira, and Adrien Rabiot have returned to training with the group and will therefore be available to Ruben Amorim.
Sky reported the news, adding that the other injured Rossoneri players will be absent, namely Matteo Gabbia, Alexis Saelemaekers, Samuel Chukwueze, Fikayo Tomori (who was forced to come off injured last night against Bologna) and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The Rossoneri’s treatment room continues to be quite busy, but these are three important recoveries for Amorim. Gila was struggling with inflammation from overuse in his left ankle, Moreira was sidelined with a strained left flexor, while Rabiot missed the last two games with a strained right calf.
Fortunately, all three have now recovered from their injuries and will be available for Amorim in the derby against Inter on Saturday evening. There will be a need to bounce back after the Rossoneri suffered their first league defeat after a second-half collapse that drew boos from fans.
