AC Milan player ratings
Maignan 6: Salzburg never test the AC Milan captain with a dangerous shot on goal. He only gets his gloves dirty when he comes off his line a couple of times.
Tomori 6.5: Once a cast-off, the English defender has become an asset. He arrives in Salzburg in excellent physical condition and turns in a decidedly solid display. (Terracciano, on from the 67th minute, 5: the only blot on a perfect evening: he sees red for a foul that denies a clear goalscoring opportunity. Amorim is furious on the bench)
De Winter 6.5: He anticipates Tabakovic and stays focused until the final second, giving the whole defence confidence.
Pavlovic 6.5: Celebrating his contract extension, the former Salzburg player proves a rock against every Salzburg attack. (Diawara, on from the 80th minute, not rated)
Hutchinson 7: His changes of pace cut through the Salzburg defence, and he sets up Cisse's first goal with a delightful assist on his weaker foot. His opponents can't get to grips with him one-on-one.
Jashari 7: At last, he looks like the player who persuaded AC Milan to invest so much in him. He links play with quality and intensity, then wins the ball back on the edge of the opposition area to set up Ramos's goal for 0-4.
Rabiot 7: Like a professor, he orchestrates play, picking out passes to the right and left with precision. One of those switches sets up Cisse for 0-2. He never lets up. (Modric, on from the 60th minute, 6: manages play and possession in the final half-hour)
Bartesaghi 6.5: A fine assist caps an important response from the young AC Milan academy product, who contributes attentively and positively in both phases of play.
Loftus-Cheek 6.5: Recovers a couple of important balls, showing he took to the pitch with the right focus and motivation.
Cisse 8: With his head, his right foot and by getting there first, Cisse claims the first hat-trick of his career. In Europe. Amorim can't do without such a valuable talent now. (Pulisic, on from the 60th minute, 6: a good half-hour to build up his fitness further)
Camarda 6: After almost a year out, Camarda can't be expected to look sharp. He puts in considerable work for the team, though. (Ramos, on from the 60th minute, 6.5: opens his European account with a goal that looks easy but is no formality)
Manager Amorim 7: The Portuguese manager gets some vital answers and a valuable win by a wide margin on a perfect evening.
