Reports: Teenager called up by Amorim as Milan suffer another injury blow
There is another injury absence for Ruben Amorim to deal with in this evening’s game against Sassuolo, in the goalkeeping department specifically.
According to Calciomercato.com, MilanPress and others, Pietro Terracciano is also among Milan’s unavailable players for the match at the Mapei Stadium. He joins Alexis Saelemaekers in the treatment room.
Terracciano was not called up for the match in Reggio Emilia due to a shoulder injury sustained in training. Lorenzo Torriani will therefore be Mike Maignan’s deputy for the game against Alberto Aquilani’s side.
However, to be on the safe side teams like to have three goalkeepers in the squad. So, Amorim has also called up Léo-Paul Bouyer, a French teenager who has been part of the Milan Futuro squad this season and recently renewed his contract.
As mentioned, the only other absentee besides Terracciano is Saelemaekers, who will have ankle surgery in the next few days and will be sidelined for several months. Pervis Estupinan has recovered from the knee injury he suffered while playing for the national team during the break.
With a very tough set of games coming up in the next three weeks, Amorim will hope to avoid having a swathe of physical issues, something that he been a trend in recent seasons and has definitely impacted form.
