AC Milan’s injury situation has seemingly gotten even worse, as Fikayo Tomori was forced off during the defeat to Bologna.

Milan went into the game with eight players absent due to injury, including the likes of Adrien Rabiot, Diego Moreira, Mario Gila and Samuel Chukwueze. That forced Ruben Amorim to make the best of what he had, with Tomori finding a new role for himself at right-back.

Things were going well for the Englishman last night, too. He provided a nice assist for Alphadjo Cisse’s second goal of the night which put the Rossoneri 2-1 up, but then everything fell apart very quickly.

Tomori pulled up clutching his hamstring just before half-time and it instantly looked like a substitution would be needed, with Luka Modric getting ready to come on. The former Chelsea man tried to run it off, but was replaced by Modric at half-time.

Amorim moved Yunus Musah – who had played the entire first half as a central midfielder – to right-back in order to try and cope with yet another injury blow. Unfortunately, the Diavolo conceded three times in the second half and lost 4-2.

Any medical tests will clarify the situation and extent of Tomori’s injury, but both Calciomercato.com and MilanNews have confirmed it is a muscular problem, so instantly the chances of seeing him in the derby on Saturday dramatically decline.
