Poor results, missed revenue and more: Europa League is a nightmare for Milan

By: Isak Möller

In the latest episode of the bonus podcast, Oliver and Ben recapped AC Milan’s Europa League campaign to this point, which has turned into a bit of a nightmare.

Before the season started, Milan were among the odds favourites to win the Europa League, up there with the likes of Juventus, Bournemouth, Benfica and Sunderland. However, that dream has quickly faded as the Rossoneri have struggled massively so far.

In the first four games, Ruben Amorim’s men have only claimed three points, which means the dream of winning the competition isn’t the only thing fading, but also the top 8-finish ambitions. That’s a dire reality considering the teams in the competition.

Oliver and Ben sat down to discuss the Europa League campaign so far in the latest bonus podcast episode, highlighting everything from the poor mentality and results to the financial impact. It’s a failure on multiple fronts, in other words, which could have serious effects.
