Poor performances across the board: Player ratings for Bournemouth-Milan from Italian papers
AC Milan fell to their lowest point of the season so far on Thursday night as they were beaten 3-0 by Bournemouth.
The tone for the night was set when Koni De Winter blocked a shot with his hand that drew a penalty which Justin Kluivert converted. Then, Mike Maignan shoved Tyler Adams in the face from a corner to draw a red card and a second spot kick that Marcus Tavernier despathced.
The third goal was a wonderful free-kick from Amine Adli to compound the misery. It was a nightmare first half that Milan simply could not recover from in the south coast rain, and it once again leaves them with an uphill battle to try and pursue the top eight places in the Europa League table.
Bournemouth 3-0 AC Milan: Ratings from the papers
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) has their ratings from the game, starting with the team’s overall performance and Ruben Amorim’s management of the game, both of which got a score of just 4.5 out of 10.
Lorenzo Torriani was the one saving grace for Milan as he made a couple of late saves to prevent it being an even worse outcome. Maignan – who saw red for the Italian to come on – was given a 4.
De Winter, Yunus Musah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek were handed a 4.5. Fikayo Tomori, Pervis Estupinan, Ardon Jashari, Omari Hutchinson, Alphadjo Cisse and Davide Bartesaghi were given a 5.
Strahinja Pavlovic, Diego Moreira plus the substitutes Adrien Rabiot and Sankhoun Diawara got a 5.5 in what was a thoroughly forgettable night for the Diavolo.
