With this morning’s news about AC Milan’s deal with Adidas, they have entered the top 10 most expensive deals in Europe.

Earlier today, it was reported that Milan are set to sign a deal worth €500 million with Adidas, to become their new technical sponsors for the next 10 seasons. A monumental deal with a significant commercial impact, it’s a major step forward for the club.

In recent days, Gerry Cardinale also signed a deal with Generali for the stadium sponsorship, so it’s been a big week for the American.

Entering illustrious territory

As PianetaMilan write, the Rossoneri are now in the European top 10 when it comes to sponsorship deals. However, there is still a lot to overcome in terms of finances. For example, Real Madrid’s sponsorship deal is worth almost €100m more, at €120m per season.

Manchester City (ironically, €115m per season), Barcelona (€108m per season), Manchester United (€105m per season) and PSG (€100m per season) are still very far away. Then, Arsenal boast €85m per season, whilst Liverpool and Chelsea earn €70m per season.

Finally, you come to the Diavolo, who sit in 10th for the most earned from their technical sponsor. What is interesting, though, is that they are Adidas’ fifth-biggest club in Europe, behind Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.

It’s an illustrious company to be in…
