Strahinja Pavlovic spoke to the media after AC Milan’s big win against Salzburg, highlighting that the Rossoneri may have found the right model to build on.

After the defeat to Benfica in the opening round, there was definitely pressure on Milan to bounce back against Salzburg last night. Thankfully, after a hat-trick from Alphadjo Cisse and a goal from Goncalo Ramos, the Rossoneri brushed off the pressure with ease.

Pavlovic and his defensive teammates didn’t have that much to do throughout the game, but keeping a clean sheet is always important. It’s no surprise, therefore, that the Serbian was in a good mood afterwards.

Pavlovic’s post-match comments

Speaking to Sky Italia, as transcribed by MilanNews, Pavlovic shared his thoughts on the performance, the success of Cisee, and also explained why this game was a model of how they should play moving forward.

A very nice win tonight…

“We have had a few problems in the last few games in front of goal, not creating many chances. Tonight we had a lot of them, thanks to good football.”

Did you expect this impact from Cisse?

No, I have to be honest. He’s a really good guy, he works hard every day and I’m very happy for him.”

What does Milan need?

“Tonight was a good match, perhaps it’s a model for how we should play. We must always win duels, create chances, and not make mistakes in front of goal. These are the three things we must always do. If we do that, we’re strong.”
