Official: Starting XIs for AC Milan vs. Atalanta – seven changes from Salzburg win
AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim has named his starting line-up for the game against Atalanta at San Siro, with several changes from midweek.
The 4-0 win over RB Salzburg on Thursday night was the most dominant display of the season, but Amorim and his team need to try and build momentum in the league too, having won three and drawn three so far.
Atalanta have had a mixed start under Maurizio Sarri given they are on three wins and three losses in six games. The media could not agree on what line-up Milan would field, even down to the formation used.

In terms of injuries, Matteo Gabbia is facing three or four months out after he suffered a muscle and tendon injury in the Sassuolo draw. Alexis Saelemaekers underwent ankle surgery and is expected to miss up to six months. Pietro Terracciano is a doubt with a shoulder issue.
Amorim has chosen to name Mario Gila, Koni De Winter and Strahinja Pavlovic as the defence ahead of Mike Maignan. Samuel Chukwueze and Diego Moreira return as the wing-backs, flanking Luka Modric and Yunus Musah in midfield.
In attack, Christian Pulisic and Adrien Rabiot are the playmakers, meaning Thursday’s hat-trick hero Alphadjo Cisse is on the bench. Those two will operate behind Goncalo Ramos who got his second goal of the season three days ago.
