AC Milan have announced that two more of their young talents have put pen to paper on professional contracts.

With the creation of the Milan Futuro project, the management of the youth sector have made a conscious effort to protect some of the players they deem to be on the pathway towards the first team in years to come.

On the official website, the club have announced that two of their teenagers have penned senior deals for the first team. The first is Riccardo Grassini – who signed his on Tuesday – while the second is Christian Vechiu.

Grassini is an 18-year-old central midfielder who hails from Brescia, and is currently a starter for the Primavera side. He has one assist in his seven competitive appearances this season under Giovanni Renna, who coached him at lower levels too.

Meanwhile, Vechiu is also 18 years of age but is yet to play for the Primavera this season. The centre-back – who can also play full-back – was born in Cittadella but has dual citizenship due to his parents being Romanian.

Earlier this month, Emanuele Borsani has signed his first pro contract after spending part of the preseason with the senior squad. That came after defender Matteo Pagliei also penned senior terms, while midfielder Tommaso Mancioppi extended his deal.
