Official: Como hand new contract extension to top goalscorer Douvikas
Como have officially announced that the club’s top goalscorer Tasos Douvikas has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract that will see him through until the summer of 2031.
Official: Como tie down Douvikas until 2031
The Greece international had already been tied to a contract that was due to expire in the summer of 2029, but has seen his deal extended after an excellent start to the 2026-27 campaign, which has brought eight goals from 11 appearances at club level thus far.
Douvikas is Como’s leading goalscorer across all competitions and in each individual competition with five goals from eight appearances in Serie A and three from three in the Champions League.
He finished the 2025-26 season with 14 goals in Serie A: A tally only bettered by Capocannoniere Lautaro Martinez (17).
Douvikas has now scored 27 goals and provided five assists from 68 appearances across all competitions since joining Como from Celta Vigo in February of 2025.
“I’m very happy to continue my journey with Como; I’ve felt right at home from the very beginning and immediately sensed the club’s ambition,” said Douvikas in a statement on the club website.
“I’ve grown a lot since I arrived, thanks to Coach Fàbregas and his staff, this group is like a big family to me. I want to keep helping the team by giving it my all.”
Head coach Cesc Fabregas added: “From his very first day in Como, Tasos has demonstrated a strong mentality, and that has been reflected in his performances on the pitch. He is always positive, highly ambitious and has a fantastic work ethic. We are delighted to announce his contract extension.”
