Official: AC Milan vs. Venezia starting XIs – two changes from Torino win

Ruben Amorim has named his first ever starting line-up as the AC Milan head coach at San Siro, and he has opted for continuity.

The new era starting well last Sunday as Milan won 2-1 away from home against Torino, but the challenge is to follow that up with another win that would put the Rossoneri top of the standings, at least for one night.

However, it will not be a stroll in the park against the 2025-26 Serie B champions, who lost their first game 2-0 to Lecce but played better than that scoreline suggests.

Just as reports suggested, it will be an unchanged XI from the win in Turin. The captain Mike Maignan remains in goal therefore, with Mario Gila, Koni De Winter and Strahinja Pavlovic the three-man defence ahead of him.

A midfield double pivot of Luka Modric and Yunus Musah gets the nod, with Ardon Jashari thus dropping to the bench. Samuel Chukwueze remains at right wing-back and Davide Bartesaghi replaces Pervis Estupinan on the other side.

Goncalo Ramos will lead the line, flanked by Ruben Loftus-Cheek and last week’s scorer Alphadjo Cisse in the attacking midfielder positions.
