AC Milan slumped to their third Europa League defeat last night, losing 2-0 to Ferencvaros, and the Italian media haven’t held back.

Milan never got going at all, in stark contrast to Saturday’s derby win. The hero of the night for the Hungarian side was without doubt Lenny Joseph, who netted twice in the second half to fire them to a win that was fully deserved, with the Rossoneri dropping out of the top 24.

Milan 0-2 Ferencvaros: Ratings from the papers

We published our ratings on the final whistle last night, handing out some of the lowest scores of the season so far, which was befitting for what was the worst performance of the Ruben Amorim era so far.

La Gazzetta dello Sport gave a 4 out of 10 to both the overall performance and to Amorim for his selection and management of the game. Koni De Winter was deemed to be the worst player, and he got the same.

Filippo Terracciano and Ardon Jashari were also handed a 4, while Lorenzo Torriani, Davide Bartesaghi, Yunus Musah, Alphadjo Cisse, Gonçalo Ramos and Mario Gila only got 4.5.

Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic were handed a 5; Luka Modric and Francesco Camarda a 5.5; then Sankhoun Diawara and Diego Moreira got the only passing grades (6).

Corriere dello Sport are next up with their scores, giving Amorim, Jashari, Rabiot and Cisse a 4. They weren’t the worst though, as De Winter got a 3 for his disaster. Torriani, Terracciano, Musah and Ramos got a 4.5. Diawara, Bartesaghi and Pulisic received a 5; Gila, Camarda, Moreira and Modric half a mark more, and only Hutchinson got a pass.

Tuttosport, unsurprisingly, are no more forgiving. De Winter got the lowest score (4), with Torriani, Jashari, Ramos and Amorim getting a 4.5. Terracciano, Gila, Rabiot and Cisse (5) were criticised, as were Diawara, Bartesaghi, Camarda, Modric, Musah, Moreira and Pulisic (5.5).
