Nine players get below-par scores: Fan player ratings for Sassuolo 1-1 AC Milan
By: Oliver Fisher
AC Milan returned from the three-week international break with a 1-1 draw against Sassuolo away from home on Sunday night.
Adrien Rabiot’s goal in the 63rd minute broke the deadlock and looked like potentially firing Ruben Amorim’s side to a fourth win in six Serie A games. However, a poorly-defended corner saw Sassuolo’s substitute Odenthal on hand to net an equaliser, and it would stay 1-1.
Sassuolo 1-1 AC Milan: Ratings from the readers
Our own player ratings from after the final whistle made it clear how Jekyll and Hyde a performance it was from Milan, with a couple of stand-outs but sadly too many under-performers.
Our readers got involved to cast their votes too, and it is noticeable that only a handful of players got over a 6 on average. Mike Maignan received 6.8, Mario Gila 6.6, Adrien Rabiot 7.2, Diego Moreira 6.5 and Christian Pulisic 6.3. Substitutes Koni De Winter (6.3) and Luka Modric (6.3) also did well.
The lowest score by some distance went to Pervis Estupinan, who got a 4.6 overall as the starting left-back. Samuel Chukwueze was given a 5.2, operating on the other flank, while the midfield anchor Yunus Musah got a 5.5 and Goncalo Ramos the striker a 5.7.
Ardon Jashari’s 5.5, Alphadjo Cisse’s 5.7 and Omari Hutchinson’s 5 show that Milan were not able to call upon much off the bench to try and swing the game back their way in the closing stages.
