New Juventus stadium, president Ferrero: “The idea is still there, but we don’t have a detailed plan”

Juventus’s most senior official speaks

Gianluca Ferrero, president of Juventus, discussed the possibility of a new stadium at the club's shareholders' meeting: "The women's team and Next Gen play outside Turin. Obviously, it would be wonderful for us to have a second stadium," Gazzetta.it reports.

"The idea is still there, but we have no detailed plan to build it in the immediate future," Ferrero concluded.

CEO Giovanni Carnevali on Next Gen and Women: "We need an overall plan covering the first team, Next Gen and the youth sector. We need to get the youth sector back to where it was in recent years, while always striving to improve. We need to bring a little more Italian identity into our organisation. Next Gen must be this club’s pride and joy, developing young players who could one day become Juventus players. We have the women’s section, which we were among the first to believe in. It is a movement expanding enormously, as the results being achieved abroad show; in Italy, it is growing with greater difficulty, but Juventus are highly regarded in this respect for all the work being done."
