Moretto: Milan reach agreement with Krösche and could bring his ‘right-hand man’ too
AC Milan are hoping to complete a double raid on Eintracht Frankfurt to overhaul their management structure.
Since it was announced earlier in the month that Krösche had vacated his role at Eintracht Frankfurt, rumours about a potential move to Milan have once again picked up. The Rossoneri pursued him in the summer, but the German club did not let him go.
In his statement after leaving Eintracht, Krösche spoke about ‘needing a change’ which many perceived to be a hint that he will not be out of work for long. In fact, there have even been rumours he is preparing for Milan’s January transfer window.
Krösche plus one?
Matteo Moretto gave an update on Milan’s director pursuit in a video and he confirmed that not just one but two new figures could arrive. MilanNews transcribed the journalist’s words.
“As we’ve been telling you for some time now, Milan are ready for a major management change, with the idea of bringing in new talent like Markus Krösche. He remains the number one candidate to become the new Head of Football,” he said.
“He and AC Milan have already reached an agreement, while the Rossoneri are confident they can resolve the situation with Eintracht between now and January. There’s no estimate yet for the completion of the negotiations, but both parties are optimistic they can reach an agreement.
“The idea of bringing in a sporting director is also being considered: the name is said to be Timmo Hardung, Krösche’s right-hand man at Frankfurt for many seasons. Both would like to work together, with Krösche reportedly pushing to bring him to Milan in the future.”
