Some good news has arrived on the injury front for Ruben Amorim ahead of the Sassuolo game on Sunday evening.

MilanNews write that the Milan head coach Amorim reunited with all the players that have been on international duty and have been travelling back to Italy over the past 24 to 48 hours. As a reminder, the Rossoneri had 15 summoned by their national teams, the joint-most of any Serie A club.

The entire squad trained together on Friday afternoon, and even Pervis Estupinan was present. The only absentee was Alexis Saelemaekers, who will undergo ankle surgery in the next few days and will be out for several months.

Apart from the Belgian, Amorim has all the players available for Sunday afternoon’s away match at the Mapei Stadium, which kick starts a daunting run of seven matches in 21 days ending with the Halloween derby.

What Milan lost with Saelemaekers cannot be under-estimated though. The former Roma loanee had been very useful in his dual role of wing-back and attacking midfielder, providing balance to the tactical set-up.

With him out for four months, Amorim will have to find some new solutions to get things right, with Sky suggesting that a 4-4-1-1 will be what he goes with against Sassuolo.
