MN: Rendering of new AC Milan and Inter stadium to be revealed next week
AC Milan and Inter will unveil the rendering for how they hope their new stadium will look soon, with a date now fixed.
Next Thursday will be a crucial date for the future of Milan and Inter’s new stadium. MilanNews confirm that the project for Milan’s new sports facility will be presented on October 29th, with further details beyond those already revealed in recent weeks.
The first renderings will be released of the new stadium designed by Lord Norman Foster’s Foster + Partners and David Manica’s MANICA. The approximately 71,500-seat facility will be built on the existing parking lot adjacent to the San Siro.
After months of anticipation, some of the actual design specifics will be publicly unveiled at the end of October, making the entire project feel more real.
Earlier this month, the Lombardy Court dismissed appeals that had been brought against the clubs and the council regarding the sale process for the current San Siro, which is a necessary precursor to get the plans moving.
Milan and Inter do not have any time to waste though and will hope for no further roadblocks now. A tight schedule must be adhered to in order to get the stadium built for 2031 and to host games at the 2032 European Championships.
