MN: Four things to address – Cardinale’s diary outlined as crucial week begins at Milan

A new week has begun, one that could be crucial both in the scheme of AC Milan’s season and also their future plans.

As MilanNews writes, the main events as always will be on the field. Milan play on Wednesday at San Siro at 18:30 CET against Bologna, and then on Saturday at 20:45 in the first derby of the season, one in which they will be the ‘home’ team.

Gerry Cardinale was in Udine last night and, after the match, shared his thoughts on the win at the BluEnergy Stadium: “The team continues to improve and showed great resilience after the disappointing performance in Europe.

A hectic week

Last night, Cardinale returned to Milan along with the team. He’ll remain there all week for all the aforementioned events. He’ll obviously be close to the team ahead of the two matches against Bologna and Inter.

However, he’ll be directly involved on Thursday 29 October at 16:30 CET at the Castello Sforzesco for the official presentation of the new San Siro. It is an event that will see the design renderings unveiled, and Inter president Beppe Marotta will be there too.

In the meantime, Cardinale continues hunting for a new Head of Football. Markus Krösche remains in pole position, but a definitive agreement hasn’t yet been reached to bring him to Milan. The fact remains that the owner’s stay in Milan during this crucial week can’t be a coincidence.
