AC Milan’s defensive crisis continues: Pavlovic to miss clash with Genoa

Strahinja Pavlovic will miss tomorrow's trip to Genoa after suffering from

severe

colic in recent days, leaving him unavailable to manager Amorim for the match at Marassi. The Serbian defender tried to grit his teeth and make himself available, but he is not fit to play. Gabbia and Tomori are also absent, leaving the Diavolo facing a full-blown defensive crisis.

Defensive crisis

Amorim, who did not speak at the usual pre-match press conference today, faces a defensive crisis. His options are limited by Terracciano's struggles and the absence of three important players: Pavlovic, Gabbia and Tomori.

Against De Rossi's Genoa, the Portuguese manager is expected to field a back four, with Gila at right-back, Diawara and De Winter as the centre-back pairing, and Estupinan favoured over Bartesaghi on the left flank.

On come the starters

Amorim's Milan travel to face the rossoblu looking to win, build on their derby victory and head into the break in as calm an atmosphere as possible. All the regular starters are in: Musah will play on the right of midfield, Modric as the playmaker and Rabiot on the left, with licence to attack the opposition's defensive lines. Up front, Moreira and Pulisic will support Ramos, who is clearly struggling for goals.
