Milan are among several Serie A clubs monitoring Federico Chiesa, with Liverpool reportedly willing to let the Italian forward leave in January.

According to Calciomercato.com, Inter, Roma, Lazio and Atalanta have also made enquiries about the former Juventus winger, who continues to struggle for minutes at Anfield.

Chiesa’s contract with Liverpool runs until June 2028, but the Premier League club are not opposed to his departure. Fee, wages and the structure of any deal would be key to whether the interest develops into concrete talks.

Chiesa could fill a gap for Milan

The 29-year-old could be an attractive option for Ruben Amorim, whose attacking options have been hit by injuries. Samuel Chukwueze is out for at least two months with a hip problem, while Alexis Saelemaekers is also sidelined long term.

Chiesa joined Liverpool from Juventus in the summer of 2024 for a modest fee, and was part of the squad that won the Premier League title in his first season. However, he has never established himself as a regular starter in England.

The Euro 2020 winner spent four seasons at Juventus after rising through the ranks at Fiorentina, so knows Serie A well. A return to Italy would give him the chance to rebuild his career with regular football.
