Napoli striker Lorenzo Lucca could reportedly return to Udinese in exchange for Keinan Davis, as a comedian apologises for ‘fuelling bullies’ against the former Nottingham Forest flop.

Lucca has had a truly disastrous experience since making the big money move from Udinese to Napoli in the summer of 2025.

The cost of the operation was €35m and he has been bitterly disappointing, managing just two goals and one red card in 32 competitive appearances for the club.

There was also a six-month loan spell at Nottingham Forest where he fared little better, scoring once in nine matches.

Lucca lambasted by Napoli fans

Now Tuttomercatoweb are suggesting that Lucca will return to Udinese in an exchange of loans with English striker Davis in January.

Meanwhile, Neapolitan comedian Peppe Iodice has taken the rare step of taking down a video because he “felt bad” that it unleashed a wave of vicious comments against the Italian striker.

“For the first time, after publishing a video, I didn’t feel at peace with myself. I deleted it because I felt that it was fuelling online bullies, some of whom were attacking Lorenzo, and I realised that I was in some way joining in.

“My objective was merely to make someone laugh, by telling some truths. Lorenzo is playing in truly surreal fashion, but I am not one to bully, nor to fire upon the Red Cross.

“I wanted to be satirical, but satire is against the strong, and right now Lorenzo is in a fragile and negative state that I do not wish to make worse.

“If Lorenzo started scoring repeatedly, and I really wish from my heart he will, I will return to mocking him with everything I’ve got. Right now, I prefer not to fuel this hatred. Forza Napoli, always.”
