Juventus vs. Napoli probable line-ups and where to watch on TV
Randal Kolo Muani and Nick Woltemade are set to lead the line for Juventus as Juan Cabal replaces Andrea Cambiaso. Kevin De Bruyne fills in for the injured Stanislav Lobotka in the Napoli midfield.
It kicks off at 20:45 CET [19:45 GMT] at the Allianz Stadium, with Simone Sozza refereeing.
The two sides are level on 14 points, but they arrive in very different form. Juventus were beaten 2-0 at Genoa on Wednesday, after which Luciano Spalletti apologised to the fans and took the whole squad on retreat at the J Hotel, injured players included. “There’s only one road that leads to winning matches, and that’s wanting it more,” Spalletti said. “We need to win back the respect that’s been taken from us.” The match falls on the club’s 129th birthday.
Napoli won 4-1 at Monza in midweek. Massimiliano Allegri won five Scudetti across two spells in Turin, but he won’t be in the dugout for his return, as he serves the second game of his two-match ban. Assistant Marco Landucci takes charge again. “They’re giving Juve up for dead, but Juventus rarely die,” Allegri warned on Saturday.
Juventus vs Napoli team news
Juve’s injury list is still long, Kenan Yildiz (foot), Khéphren Thuram (knee) and Manuel Locatelli (knee) are out long-term and Kamil Grabara is out for the season after knee surgery. Francisco Conceição (shoulder), Zeki Çelik (hamstring) and Nico González (calf) are also missing but Jeff Ekhator has returned to training and could feature from the bench.
Napoli are without Lobotka, who is out for about six weeks with an ankle injury. Alessandro Buongiorno, Benoit Badiashile, Leonardo Spinazzola, Costantino Favasuli, David Neres and Alisson Santos are also unavailable. Amir Rrahmani and André-Frank Zambo Anguissa have been battling flu this week, but both are expected to start.
Neither side has any players suspended.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Spalletti sticks with a back three, but Gleison Bremer, Lloyd Kelly and Jhon Lucumí start, with Federico Gatti on the bench. Pierre Kalulu plays at right wing-back and Cabal on the left, while Cambiaso drops out after struggling in recent games.
Corriere dello Sport also has Cabal in for Cambiaso, but says Bremer is a doubt. If he rests, Gatti would move into the middle. Gazzetta and DAZN expect a switch to a back four, with Kalulu and Kelly as the full-backs and Edon Zhegrova and Boga possibly joining Kolo Muani in a front three.
Alex Meret is expected to start in goal for Napoli ahead of Vanja Milinković-Savić. Rrahmani is favoured over Luca Marianucci at centre-back.
