Juventus shareholders have approved the club’s latest accounts and backed a capital increase of up to €250m, with at least €100m expected to go into new investment, mainly in the squad.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, 99.9% of shareholders voted to give the board the power to launch the capital increase at Tuesday’s meeting at the Allianz Stadium. The aim is to strengthen the club’s finances and sporting competitiveness, upgrade strategic property such as the stadium, and build the brand.

The 2025-26 accounts showed a loss of €66m, up from €58.1m the year before. The increase was largely due to missing out on Champions League qualification.

Exor guarantee Juventus capital increase

Exor, the majority shareholder of Juventus with a 65.4% stake, has agreed to cover its own share and any part of the increase that other shareholders don’t take up. It has already paid in €60m as an advance.

Around 45-50% of the total will go towards strengthening the balance sheet over this season and next. That leaves roughly €100m for investment, with the first team the priority.

General manager Giovanni Carnevali promised “commitment and seriousness” in the January transfer window. He warned that the club’s settlement agreement with UEFA still limits what they can do.

The news comes after Sunday’s 2-0 win over Napoli, with goals from Kerim Alajbegović and Jérémie Boga, which eased the pressure on Luciano Spalletti.
